Aren't allocations just about over though for the RS? 992.2 GT3 is being announced next week. Does anybody expect another batch of RS allocations coming?

I'm getting white now. Oh well. Saves me $21k. I hope they approve my European Delivery in January.

bummer; just curious why you would pay $2500 extra for ED in January?

Unfortunately, I didn't get to pick my production month and was lucky to even get an allocation. I'm just a plebe but also don't want to pick up my car at a dealership. lol. That's boring and unfulfilling. I'm planning on driving to Warsaw since I've been just about everywhere else west of Romania. My wife and I just have to figure out how to get all of our winter clothes packed and in the back of the LWB seats! Fortunately, I am keeping my 992GT3 for practice.

I'm happy with that color. I can't complain. God has been so good to me.

I would ship the car to southern Spain or Italy in January. It supossed to be a snowy winter in EU not like previous, don't know exactly what they used in Germany for deicing roads but salt is still used in many countries.
My Evo 6 was like a restored car underneath, immaculate until i drove it in wet winter roads 4-5 times, you wont belive how bad the gearbox, arms, bolts, exhaust etc looks now.

best of luck, no way I would even remotely contemplate driving a 3RS in dead of winter, regardless of tires. Not worth the hassles it will inevitably bring. Besides, It is going to be shipped back to your dealer anyway for delivery. You can rent Cayennes and Macans at Porsche Museum, and now at Sixt as well. January in that region can be brutal cold with snow, only seeing downsides. But best of luck!

honestly would ask ED how long they can hold your car until must take delivery, might be able to get late March or April delivery which improves chances to enjoy the car.

Is it really $75-80k over for RS allocations? Not even PTS cars? Or CXX plus PTS, like this one.

I'd rather have this for even a little more money and you can have it right now, why wait.https://www.meritpartners.com/2024-porsche-gt3rs-272361

I am not sure where. The factory even with the new addition is still very tight. Best alternative would be a better paint process, take some of the production away from suppliers.

I am definitely a risk taker. I did running with the bulls in Pamplona a couple years ago at age 56. All the way down the street and into the arena with bulls piercing guys in front of me. Not kiddin'. Also drove nuclear attack subs chasing Russian subs under the arctic ice cap and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff. You may recall that I took my 2018 911 via ED all the way to Romania and through Serbia and Bosnia - now that was crazy. I'm glad I didn't get a flat. At least they have a few Porsche dealerships in Poland. Wheew....

I'll take my chances in the snow and cold with the RS. I already have my hotels picked out. If you aren't scared, you ain't having enough fun. (Life and driving).

Totally agree! Although I've never even smoked marijuana and didn't see someone doing it until I moved to New Orleans six years ago. That's not living anyway. Now driving a Porsche across Europe - that's living!

That PTS color is very meh to me plus a $150k+ ADM (I've spent less than that on my Taycan GTS ST) is hard to stomach because that car will be worth sub $400k in a year or two.
