@Manifold the 2019's are still @ or over msrp. they're mostly out of warranty. the Gt2rs are still way over msrp also (50k + in some cases)
the 2023's and 24's are a much higher level car in terms of the aero tricks and active shock/ suspension adjustments.
production ends soonish on these GT3RS. Poser guys who don't drive on the track will move on to the new lambo and 750s and such
track guys will still want GT3RS especially while they're under warranty. the porsche CPO 6 yr coverage means the 23 and 24 RS will still be over msrp for another 3-5 years IMO.
the 992 3RS is so gnarly on track that you literally need a cup car to be faster. the 765LT are coming out of warranty and are going to drop below 400 then below 350. that's the only other car (besides a viper ACRx) that can claim to be as track capable.

I guess you can throw stuff out like that when using the ambiguous nature of the word "eventually"
Eventually the earth will explode

Lots of people are lost in reality. For fun, check out the Lamborghini forums and look at STO value threads. Everyone swore it’ll be over MSRP and values are so in demand. Now? 50-100k under MSRP.
The 992 3RS is already going for mid $300’s at various dealerships and if you try to sell one, you’ll quickly see no dealer wants a cash offer due to the risk, but will do consignment.
The era of free money is gone and you don’t want to be the one bag holding if you’re over extended. If you’re a rich Renlister and you paid in cash at MSRP and got PTS and blah blah blah, you’ll be fine.

Another reason why all 3RS will be over MSRP, possibly in perpetuity, is because Porsche keeps increasing the MSRP at a decent clip. When you have a 992.2 GT3RS hit 400K MSRP, suddenly the 991.2 GT3RS at 275K (50K over its MSRP) is a relative bargain.
All the comparisons to other car companies, like lambo and Ferrari, are just so wildly inaccurate. A new comparable Ferrari will hit 600K MSRP, and it's not even certain you can get one.
People can try to blame COVID and keep clicking their heels that dealers will just have 3RS sitting on lots at 50K under MSRP, but there are enough dudes with $ who will gladly pay BIG. The qty of dudes will not get smaller. Stock market crashing, interest rates dumping, these are anecdotal to the equation.

As for other car brands? Are you an owner or just a looker? My new custom ordered Gallardo was 1% off, my new Huracan 3% off, my Urus MSRP, my STO MSRP, my new SVJ was 5% off. Ferrari is the one brand that has some control in pricing because special editions are hand picked by corporate and new normal car buyers have to wait 2 years to get a car. Sure the MSRP has increased on all the brands, but they’re still sticker not a fake premium.
Historically only Porsche RS and numbered products have held value or been over MSRP and a handful of special edition Ferraris, nothing else.
The 992 3RS is not a hot selling car on the second hand market, plain and simple.

For the last four years, the US economy has been on a sugar high from trillions of dollars of stimulus money, plus AI-related speculation in the stock market, and we had 23% inflation over the past 4 years.

Three Wheelin'
Assuming your use of the word “poser” is meant to be derogatory, has it occurred to you many of us posers have tracked cars in the past and now have opted not to do so for variety of reasons including too many wannabe Jorg Bergmeister tracking cars today? Does that mean we enjoy our cars any less?
As for enjoying a 3RS on the street, of course you can. I think it's like only getting to second base with your partner (i.e. how much character of the car can you really explore hitting a few on ramps here and there?). Enjoyable for sure, but there are experiences left on the table. I get avoiding all the associated risks and hassles with tracking. Driving a weapon like the 3RS at appreciable pace on the street has risks too.
3RS + a Spyder RS would be a heck of a garage for those that do both.

There are a lot of people that buy these cars just to have the latest and greatest for the sake of show. Look at me. For example, the first 3RS I saw in the wild was parked outside Soho house at noon. No, you cannot enjoy any sports car, much less a 3RS on a weekday in West Hollywood. But if that's how the guy wants to spend his money, good for him.

Over 95% of Porsche owners do not track their cars. Since Porsches are designed to be tracked, are the owners posers?
