I think where the car docks is based upon where your dealer is located. When I've done PECLA delivery for my cars, they docked in Houston and were transported to PECLA because my dealer is in Texas.

All PECLA Delivery cars are ported into Houston for logistics and tracking. It has nothing to do with where the dealer is located, where the buyer is located or avoiding the Panama Canal.

520 for Canada and US. @cosmos 465 number for US only is plausible.

Does Canada really only get 2-3% of specialty allocations?

That sounds about right. Canada population is only roughly 1/10th of the US population.

Only around 85 PTS (give or take a few) cars for North America 😉

They're about 1/8th of the US population (40mm vs 330mm)

I'm sure population is a variable but that can't be the main or only metric for how PAG splits the allocation. Anyone know how that works? Number of dealers has to matter I'd imagine

Ok, so I’m off on the population lol.

Just look at the GDP, Canada is not even 1/10th of the US. 2.14 trillion vs. 27.36 trillion.

That coupled with wealth distribution. I believe the US has a much greater ratio of millionaires.

Wasn't argumentative, just correcting info

So GDP, wealth distribution, and concentration of millionaires are variables in how PAG splits allocations? I find that hard to believe

Population and number of dealers makes sense to me

Genuinely curious though

The US has about 200 dealers, how many dealers are there in Canada? 20?

If I were to market a niche luxury product, that would certainly go into my decision.

Do we know the number of dealerships per capita?

Plus the US has more agreeable weather for S/T owners to take them out every fourth Sunday. 😎

LOL that's a good one

21 dealers in Canada, so about 10% of the US, so that variable tracks

I have always thought that it was based on total sales.

ie NA accounts for 27% of total sales so they get that many of the next edition.
