This is what ticks me off to no end. These 918 folks are the biggest flippers out there, yet Porsche puts out some lip service BS press release about leasing the cars to prevent flipping. Porsche knows my track record, they know I am not flipping my cars, yet 918 folks, actual brokers and dealers all get to play the flip game. This forced lease is the first time in all my years of Porsche buying that I am really annoyed at Porsche, as usually they do the right thing. This is a pure cash grab, has nothing to do with preventing flipping.

Not this VIP.
My VIP rights doesn't expire until July 2025. So unless Porsche isn't releasing another special edition between now and then, I think I'm in it for at least 1 to 2 more special edition releases
Hallelujah to the 918 VIP program

Sorry, no more special numbered cars coming between now and July 2025 so you have the green light to flip your ST.

And just a quick reminder.
Let's keep this topic on the S/T, taking delivery of the S/T, driving the S/T, and even washing the S/T if you want.
But let's keep talk of ADMs, dealers shenanigans, logistics of the lease requirement, etc. to a minimum, if not out of this thread entirely.
Otherwise, there will be a wholesale "clean up on aisle 7" upcoming.
Thank you.

I’m chiming into just give my own thoughts on the engine. There is something really nice about the RS engine. 992 RS and 992 GT3 next to each other have very different feels and sounds. For those of us who own both cars, the RS engine is magnificent. Even with a PDK the RS engine has a very unique cam lobe to it which is amplified in the manual ST.
For those who think just throwing a light weight flywheel onto a GT3 will get you most of the way there, haven’t had seat time in a ST yet will be disappointed when they do.

Aggressive cam profile with a LWFW would give the car a distinctly different feel from the GT3.
