From: The way to hell is paved by good intentions “Wenn ich Purist höre...entsichere ich meinen Browning” "Myths are fuel for marketing (and nowadays for flippers too,,,)" time to time is not sufficient to be a saint, you must be also an Hero
I've also heard back from one of the "lucky" ones who got to drive the S/T. This guy also had lots of seat time in the 991 and 992 GT3 variants.
1) Looks better in dark colours to hide the front fender aero
2) Couldn't feel any power / weight difference from a regular manual 992 GT3 with PCCBs / Carbon Buckets. Zero
3) Handling felt less sharp than regular GT3 (likely due to no RWS), although commented some may prefer that less pointy feel.
4) This guy hasn't stalled a Porsche in over 20 years, but stalled the S/T twice (as did another famous name from Porsche GT Dept). Something about the way the revs drop suddenly / new clutch design - especially in reverse.

and being a road car doesn't sound a good thing on a 510 HP car
though it was good on the old small sport cars

They tend to be pretty good cars … I kinda thought it’s why many of us here own them.

The upcoming reviews are a lose lose for those who like the car.
Unanimously good reviews, "these guys are all drinking the Porsche kool-aid and want to be invited back to drive more cars"
A few reviews that state it's very similar to a Touring for less money, "I told you kool-aid drinkers this car ain't sh*t for the money"

I don’t know, I’ve run across plenty of negative or mixed reviews from reputable sources of cayennes, panameras, macans, over the last few years.
Heck Catchpole, Harry, and others were super meh about the SC and said they’d rather have a GTS. It’s not hater level negative but the idea that reputable reviewers are only positive about every Porsche, or even every 911, is simply untrue.

Let’s face it. All those that own a 992 Touring and either can’t get an ST or can’t afford an ST are going to say their Touring is better. Always happens. I want a review from some guy that could give two ****s. They are a decent driver, drive both and won’t be getting or own any GT cars. That will be the hopefully true and unbiased opinions.

At some point these cars are going to get into people’s hands, both owners and reviewers … the more feedback gets out there a consensus opinion will develop and the outliers on both the positive and negative side will reveal themselves and their biases.
But at the end of the day the only opinion that matters is do you like it as much as you paid for it, no matter what anyone else thinks.
