My build locks in 4 days according to TYD and my dealer said I'm V210 - no apparent delay to my PCCB build, but kinda holding my breath.

Porsche is sucking too much CO2 out of the atmosphere to make synthetic gas. Something had to give.

Putin has slowed the natural gas flow to the ovens that make the carbon rotors.

Ok, I jest.

The question is… if you can’t get PCCB when your lock date arrives, are you forced to get steel rotors or can you wait for PCCB to become available? Can the dealer give your allocation to someone else if you’re unwilling to take the steels?

I would want to wait for another allocation or just back out altogether. I'm not open to steel brakes. My dealer can do what they want.

If you all recall the 991.2 GT3 RS WP and magnesium wheels.

Porsche couldn't deliver many cars with the mag wheels, so they delivered with the standard aluminum wheels.
The mag wheels were later delivered with rubber and the RS owners got to keep the aluminum set with rubber.

Perhaps something similar could be arranged with the PCCB shortage? Deliver with steels, PCCB's to follow.

I was actually asking hypothetically - I’m not sure what happens in these situations, especially when allocations are scarce.

I would be open to that.

Wondering the same thing. I guess most are probably assuming supply chain issues (raw materials, components, whatever) but maybe it's not that. Would like to know.

I asked someone at PCNA about the PCCB stop order...My Touring has PCCBs and is PTS locked at V215, and he said that since my order is locked, I most likely will not be affected. So for anyone who is PTS locked (V215) or recently locked (w/o PTS would be V210) and ordered PCCBs, you're probably fine. If you're near lock, you're probably fine, but that's where things get tricky:

He said that the stop order is only for new orders. I don't know whether to interpret that as new allocations that come in the next round or current, unlocked allocations that are at V200...I'm hoping only true "new" allocations will be affected, but I'm really hoping these weird production constraints go away altogether.

He mentioned that there could be the extremely unlikely scenario that PCNA has to change already ordered vehicles and remove PCCBs regardless...I don't think that'll happen, but in today's world, who knows!

In the screenshot above, it says order stop till 06.2022. I don't know whether to interpret that as a production month or an order input month. If it's an order input month, it seems the first MY23 GT3s may not have PCCBs either because the first of those orders will probably go in before 06.2022. If PCNA is saying that any production month after 06.2022 isn't affected, then those who'll get MY23s should be okay...I hope! I didn't ask as to why the order stop is happening in the first place, but I doubt he'd be able to tell me anyways.

Was texting with my SA on CXX options this morning. I haven't heard anything from him regarding PCCB and he talks with PCNA nearly daily. I will text him and ask. I'm nearly in the camp of see no evil, hear no evil. But damn.

PCCBs will undergo some change MY23 due to all the braking issues.

Is this confirmed by a SA/someone at PCNA?
