Default Delays due to PCCB

Back to RL after a few years with McLaren..

I have an allocation in Russia which locks in the next two weeks which was configured with PCCB’s and got info from the dealer today that PCCBs (neither standard or black) aren’t available until November this year. Anybody experiencing the same?

Thanks!

not for a gt3; but i just put in a lock for a cayenne gts build; and was told that they had to pull PCCB from the configuration. tried to get more info to see if worth waiting for; dealer told me could be end of year.

I have an allocation with PCCB that initially where locking on february 12 and two weeks ago the locking date was pushed to march 17. Hope your news are not correct... or at least not correct for all markets.

Thanks for the feedback. I changed to steels as need the car for the track season starting in May… maybe new sanctions for Russia in terms of PCCB availability 😂

Perhaps a tad off topic, but perhaps not. Any Cadillac CT4-V or CT5-V Blackwings that has carbon fiber options in their builds are also delayed without a specific recovery date. This is more global supply chain issues.

I heard from a friend that also has a touring on order this AM that his dealer just told him PCCB suspended for builds indefinitely and could be “July to end of year” for return. My dealer says they haven’t heard anything yet. Will be interesting to see how this plays out… looks like my car may have gotten $10k cheaper! 😂

Uh oh. My 718 Spyder freeze date is 2-7-22 and I have PCCB's configured. I hope this doesn't affect my timeline. I won't change the configuration even if it does, though.

PCCBs are changing pad compound to reduce copper/etc and will have brake dust.
Now is the time to buy the prior PCCB pads if you want the historic dust free brakes

Except the 2022 GT3’s already have the new pads.

I wonder what this will do to certain folks on waiting lists. This is a BIG deal to people that have already been waiting.

PCCBs were removed as an option in some EU country configurators.

Agreed. I was pretty dead set on PCCB in black for my car. I’ll take steels and be happy I got a touring either way, though.
