Maybe I am in the minority but I think the C8 looks fantastic. Better than the 911. It sounds better too.
I've never bought an American car though so that is a major hurdle for me. I am tipping my toes in the American car market with the new Ford Bronco that has been on order. It is a disaster so far.

Also, you can get constant blue flames from any engine, including naturally aspirated. Here are constant blue flames from a LaFerrari I was driving at Road Atlanta if I guess Mr. or Mrs. "Some" needs proof?

I've been a big time Corvette hater since the C7 debut. The C7 has it's fan base, but the car is utter garbage. The worst Corvette of all time. The C6 is timeless, and the greatest corvette of all time.
With that said, this C8 looks spectacular under that camo and it sounds so good. I can't wait. I for one will leap frog the 992 GT3 and will either stick with the the 991.2 or the 992 RS with some space available for the C8Z. Competition is healthy. Porsche has been too relaxed.

Whoever "some" is, is smoking el cracko... we know the engine already to be an NA... even if we didn't know, the sound from these ring videos proves it.

I do want it to FPC N/A, but I just dont see how. Base car is just too big and too heavy.
The problem with GM is there is always a compromise.

Mainly because it was a Orange Manual ZR-1 loaded with everything. I bought it for $128k with 900 miles on it and sold it 6 months later for $136k. That was a year ago. Left a lot of money on the table! haha. Main reason though is It was the last front engine, manual Corvette and was in a color I loved. I sold it for no reason really other than My head hit the ceiling with a helmet on at the track. I should have kept it and played on the street with it. It was a bonkers fun car.

I have a friend who works high up in innovation dept at GM. He doesn't spill the beans, he's not a cleaning lady.. but he has said that the effort they've put into the Z06 to make it a world-class and category beating machine, is like nothing they have done before. Despite thinking this car is hideously designed, I can overlook that (no pun intended) based on what it promises performance-wise. I had to reach deep into the center of country to get my #1 spot at a large-volume dealer at MSRP, as I couldn't find anything with Cali stealers. I'm probably more excited about getting this Z06 in 2023 than 992 GT3 in early 2022.
This car is about pure race-derived functionality.. I don't care how fugly it is.

I'm not sure I can stomach that curvey wing and flicks though, I may go for the low-downforce body kit.

I'm on the waiting list for a Z06 with the 3rd largest corvette dealer (allocations) in the country. No adm and I'm at the top of the list. Since I live in Colorado I'm going to go with weed scented tree.

But seriously, I'm looking forward to learning the secret handshake.
