Hey, this thread is about two things:
1. commiseration amongst those who want a Porsche but can’t/won’t pay dealer markup
2. schadenfreude by those who — on merit or luck — obtained their Porsche despite ADM that they paid or avoided
Group hugs and drinking tears. Let’s get back to that, and start a separate thread on banking and monetary policy.

Here is a fun one. How did a Raptor R end up at a Porsche dealership with 74 miles?

70k markup over sticker. Meanwhile Ram offered me a TRX order for 10% off MSRP. Mine is arriving in April. 103k sticker and 92k purchase price.

"I’ve bad news for those yearning to splash their bonus on a new Porsche 911 sportscar. If you order one today, it probably won’t be delivered for more than a year because the German company’s order books are overflowing.
With demand this strong, it’s no wonder Porsche is confident of being able to enact “significant” price increases this summer, according to its annual results presentation on Monday, which was the first since its blockbuster IPO in September.
It’s the latest evidence of premium automakers having far more pricing power than investors realized, and there’s little sign that rising rates or recession worries are about to puncture the profit party.
Like rivals, Porsche has prioritized production of its most expensive vehicles since the pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine roiled supply chains. Its affluent customers have had to dig deeper to purchase a vehicle: Average revenue per car sold has increased about one-fifth since 2019 to €112,000 ($120,000)"

I doubt it. None of that is sent to Porsche. Plus, those lists don't mean much. In November 2021, with zero buyer history, I was offered a GT3 allocation at $50k ADM. The other 30 people ahead of me jumped ship.

if none of that is sent to Porsche, what's meant by the German company’s order books are overflowing in the article above?

Absolutely love the TRX and fantastic you are getting a great deal on one. On my 3rd Ram 2500 Diesel, if I didn’t have to (want to) tow I would love to have a TRX, maybe the best looking stock truck out there.
cheers.
