It's bigger than a 991.2 GT3...not bigger than a 991.2 GT3 RS which was bigger than the vanilla GT3.

You can like or dislike the looks and comment accordingly, but from a technical, performance and price perspective, the 992 GT3 is now an even better bargain than it was before.

^ This.

Also as Nizer said. The GT cars just get better but there isn’t a bad one in the bunch.

Finally, to me it’s so obvious. 992.2 4.2 will be the swan song of the GT NA models.

That was Nizers' quote..
I said that I don't care for the specs, I just care about ED and track warranty. They can hand me anything GT2/3/4 badge and I'll be on my way..

The 50th anniversary car will likely be akin to the 997 4.0RS ethos, numbered and bigger capacity.@chris3963 - what is your forecast on this much awaited car?

It will be interesting to see if there is an immediate effect on current RS prices. I mean it’s predictable that the new car is as fast as the current RS but prices have risen and maybe this will cool them off enough for me to get back in one!

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. I really want to move up into an RS car and am trying to be patient for the 4.2, I feel like we all know or at least hope it's coming. It's just a matter of when. When looking at the general current history of the GT cars the .2 moving to the 4.2 would follow this pattern. I just hope I'm able to get one, if not then I think I would get into a 991.2 RS. These are all great cars.

How can you say that? We don't even know what the price is yet.

From a performance standpoint, you are absolutely correct. People will be getting RS performance for a GT3 price, which is a great thing. However, we also must hope that Porsche doesn't radically increase the cost, as the final price remains to be seen.

I would never call a 991.2 RS a bloated pig, but it is certainly larger than I prefer which is another reason I choose a 991 GT3 over an RS. I'd rather drive something that is 997 sized. Even the 991 GT3 is bigger than I would like, so a larger 992 GT3 isn't ideal for me personally.

I am going to maintain here that the 992 GT3 is going to be epic and from a design perspective, the size of the base GT3 just works. The rear hips are perfect on the 992 and the front fender size increase is perfecto. IMO the rear wing is a HUGE upgrade over 991 and will just up the ante. Love this car. I want an allocation.

Ah!! Now I get it. Sorry I’m a little tired after calling all these dealers for an allocation.

992 GT3? A bloated pig?

Everyone should just back away from their machismo.

Anyone that drives a 991 GT3 drives a bloated pig in comparison to a 997 GT3. And anyone that drives a 997 GT3 drives a bloated pig in comparison to a 996 GT3 and so on and so on ...
