I just received my pair last week...almost a shame to not see them every day once installed next week but I know they will be a great addition to their cats, which I have had for a couple of years now!

Here's Tyler working on a run of Sport Catalytic Converters! As our fabrication team grows it's now possible for us to build larger batches at once to meet demand quicker. We look forward to keeping quality at an all time high while dropping lead times as quickly as possible.

Glad to hear it (and see it) Mike! Can you tell us a little about ceramic coating the exhaust components - is it really that helpful?

Hey Bob - got your email and I can respond here. We primarily use Jet-Hot for our ceramic coatings due to the proven durability and effectiveness of their coatings. Jet-Hot coats most components on both the inside and outside to lock heat from the exhaust inside the components while also increasing resistance to corrosion. Ideally you want to prevent heat energy from the exhaust from dissipating into the surrounding area. The hotter the gasses, the higher the velocity and this is beneficial for performance although it's very negligible. Of greater concern for our customers is reducing heat soak into the engine and also reducing radiant heat transfer to surrounding components. As it pertains to your question, catted components do not receive an inner coat. This reduces the overall effectiveness. I have a turbo manifold and downpipe on the way to Jet-Hot to get Ultra Extreme 2500 ceramic coated but it's mostly out of necessity as the Colt GTS Turbo is known for cracking the manifolds and the car lacks an intercooler so heat management on this primitive setup is key for longevity. For your catted headers it would be icing on the cake but not necessarily needed - but like all things some of us like to go above and beyond when possible.

Our McLaren 570S Sport Exhaust is coated with Extreme 1300 which is a classic polish coat with a colored top coat. We do this as the system is too complex for a traditional heat shield or blanket and given the location of the system it's necessary for heat reduction.

Here's Extreme 1300 without a top coat on a set of 718 GT4 headers

Ultra Extreme 2500 on 718 GT4 Competition Over Axle Pipes - you can see the interior coating there.

We also use it for cosmetic purposes on tips where reducing heat transfer to the surround bumper is key. We can also do colors that we can't with PVD coating. The only downside is that there is texture to the coating whereas PVD would be smooth.

You can find more information and details directly on Jet-Hot's site here: https://www.jet-hot.com/

Whatever it is, it's worth the wait. I have the headers and sport cats installed on my car with the stock PSE and it sounds fantastic.

I have a similar question, but for catless bypass for a 991.2 Base. Want to pair that with Softronic tuning.

I've been waiting a while as well but I realize they have to not only supply people like us here but all of the retailers that sell their parts as well, and not only Porsche items! It also shows the demand for their items as compared to other manufactuers.

Most of our products are build to order, some we do in batches so that we can get them coated or outfitted with heat shields. We have a fabrication list system that tracks all of this and orders are fulfilled in the order they were placed - and we're thankful to have hundreds of orders to build. Our 991.2 PSE tips are hand built so we can't just pick them off the shelf. We've been working heavily on increasing our production output without sacrificing quality. So far we've expanded the footprint of our facility and we've just hired 6 new fabricators to our team! We're not done yet - we look forward to driving down lead times as we build even better products. I understand the wait is excruciating - we really do appreciate the support and understanding of everyone who waits as we work overtime and then some to do better.

Just wanted to give a long term update on these headers now that the weather is getting warm and more and more people have installed them...

When these headers were originally installed back in late October 2020, the car had 33,700 miles on it, this morning I've crossed 42,000 miles From a performance standpoint, they still leave me tickled every time; the low end torque is just as fun as it was on the day they were installed. The biggest change for sure would be the tone. In the lower part of the band, the rumble is more pronounced... as you work your way up the power band, the exhaust really breathes and man does it scream.

The beauty of all this is that none of it is annoying or irritating; 8000+ miles in, I'd say this is by far my favorite mod. Overtime, the sound becomes even more sublime, and it just really enhances the driving experience... am definitely glad I put these on early in the car's lifetime as I've got a bunch more miles to enjoy

As a side note, when I went to a drive through vaccination center, the officers radioed each other to hold up traffic for a second because they were bored and wanted to hear the exhaust.... thumbs up, smiles, and waves were exchanged with all parties and even some of the traffic (some middle fingers too of course!).... get a set, you'll spread some happiness
