TY and can't wait to get mine very soon along with the sport cats!
Not yet, believe me we will post up any info without delay when we're ready!

Finally he trimmed the shield and fix the design irregularity .
What happened ? ... Could be that the lambda’s bushing was welded out of place, or ...the heat shield’s support on the pipes was out of place.
Someone can explain me this?
I was impressed that day, because never expected that from a prestige brand like Soul, I know they are awesome and products are meticulous build!
In our fixture there is a locating arm that sets an ideal place for the o2 sensor which gives enough room for the sensor to clear the shield while not rubbing on the other side. We've never had this issue before. There may have been a slight angle **** to the bung, and there might be a slight variance on the car. We have new OEM heat shields on the way to incorporate into the fixtures as another quality assurance step. I'll shoot you a message and we can discuss your situation further.

I just want to note that if you anyone ever has any issues or questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us immediately at any time of the day so we can try to help out. Our phones are always by our sides.

so recently, both times after having my car on the lift (as im taking the wheels off to do a brake fluid flush), when I start the car it would pump out smoke like CRAZY from the exhausts. Smoke would fill up my entire garage and the area outside, looks like the engine is on fire but luckily the smoke is only coming from the exhaust... Any ideas on what's causing this? I got the soul sport cats and vektors headers

BTW it usually stops after a good minute, or if I just turn off the car and restart it

Just a teaser of the Soul headers and sport cats. Tech said fitment is very good. Not too much finagling needed to get everything fitted up. He basically took everything off to get them fitted (he's SUPER particular when it comes to doing anything).
We spoke more about the installation of the Numeric shifter and cables than the exhaust. It was much more of a bear than the exhaust.
I'm picking the car up later today. I can't wait!!!

do you have a tune or just the headers and cats?

curious as i want the headers (already have the cats) but absolutely do not want to tune it, and a few people have told me it's not worth doing the headers without a tune. i don't know if that comment is related to drivability without a tune, or if they just don't make a huge difference without a tune to capitalize on the flow. would love to see dynos that are stock versus cats versus cats + headers.

I do not have a tune ATM. I'm getting all the parts on the car so when I do the tune, everything will be in place.
I'll report back with any driveability issues, but I highly doubt there will be any. There should be a nice gain vs. the stock manifolds. The stock don't look the greatest, plus they're heavy as hell compared to the headers.

fantastic. would really appreciate any videos with the cats and headers alone and any impressions you have.

@lamacan Don't mean to hijack a Soul development thread, but I have Kline headers with the Soul sport cats with no tune. I find it hard to imagine anyone thinking it's pointless to have headers without a tune. I will say the benefit is probably more in the sound department than in the performance department -- at least at stock power levels. But the throttle response is definitely improved. And the sound is both throatier and louder. It also makes me feel good knowing I don't have that piece of trash stock header attached to my car. It's disgusting. How it was 'good enough' for Porsche I will never understand.

Re: video... Your best bet is to find someone local with the same combo you're looking at -- if I video the sound with my iPhone and then you play it back on your computer speakers, you won't be able to tell much difference vs. stock. See here from @Ksdaoski : https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1191...ts-videos.html I promise you, these videos if played by internal computer audio do the sound no justice.

Lots of threads on headers, too:

definitely not good enough for porsche! those are 'legal' parts. obviously porsche wouldn't design it that way if there weren't emissions constraints.

thanks for the links!

I just picked the car up. SUPER happy with the results. I was able to take it through all phases of listening to the exhaust from non-sport, sport and sport+ and windows up/down and sunroof flipped.

1. Non-sport with the windows up sounds just like stock, maybe a little more noise when you get on it. I tried to emulate the scenario of the family being in the car and holding a conversation. No problem at all = perfect.
2. Sport windows up or down - holy crap crackles and pops! I thought there were a lot before. It is super aggressive and they are LOUD! It pops loud between shifts even. If this is what you're looking for, you will not be disappointed.
3. Sport+ windows up gives you a very nice sound that fills the cabin. Makes the car feel more special as it adds to the theater of driving a great car. Windows down - more of the same. You can really hear the car nicely and the decel sounds so great and crisp.
4. Sunroof tilted up - Allows you to hear the turbo spool up a bit more than with the stock exhaust. I like driving around with the sunroof tilted like this. Gives you a bit more sound inside and not too much wind noise like the window completely open.
5. Windows down half-way - both in sport and sport+ allows you to hear what's going on outside the car without all the wind noise. You can really tell the car is much louder outside than what you hear inside. The pops in sport mode are very loud.
At WOT, the sound is perfect. It's exactly what I'm looking for. LOVE IT!!!

BTW: I also had the Numeric shifter and cables installed at the same time. If you have a manual 991, you have GOT to get this shifter! It is unreal how much better it is to shift than the stock. So much shorter throws and much more positive between the gates. There is no guessing as to which gear you're going into.

Thank you again for your continued support and helping us make this happen! It was a pleasure spending the day with you and other SOUL exhaust owners at Apex. The local Porsche community is full of outstanding people and it's great to have close relationships with everyone.

We documented the install for an install guide and made sure fitment was spot on - there are no points of adjustability so there's no margin for error. Accessing some of the bolts can be a pain and the turbo studs need to be double nutted off to remove the headers, but it's not an impossible task by far. Ground clearance is outstanding. We were very happy with the results of the dyno and we're very eager to share numbers and comparisons. Apex managed to fit us in with a tight schedule and as such we haven't had time to sit and produce dyno info and charts yet (they're currently installing a SOUL Race Exhaust on a Huracan Performante among other things) and we will be happy to share as much info as we can. We are preparing our development notes as well to give everyone a good idea of our design and performance goals and I look forward to posting more tomorrow! We're very pleased with the resulting performance and sound gains, as is Varun!
