Okay, so a bit more color
As you all know - this was a process all done in the name of science! Who would have thought the world would have turned upside down and made this a way wackier process than one could ever imagine - we started in March, we thought by the Rennlist Dragon Rally in June we'd have headers.... cute! Reality struck - and the delivery date went from few weeks, to next month, to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And then John Gaydos called - we have the headers... at this point I was like - heh... sure we do... and then we scheduled a date... and moved the date.... and then moved the date.... and then it happened.... I arrived at Apex at 10am, met with John (from Apex.... a gentleman and a scholar...) and he asked if I had the headers.
How the hell am I supposed to have the headers?!?! Gaydos was supposed to have these back in June! LOL
I figured Apex John recognized the 'wtf' face from previous customers... nonetheless, he took care of it - Mike Spock was on his way with the headers. It was finally happening!!
The whole install, with Dr Spock interviewing all the staff, pre install dyno runs, post install dyno runs, a bit of frustration, a Chipotle break.... and numerous stupid questions from me took a good 6 to 7 hours? It honestly was a fantastically smooth process, though I'd say a lot of it is due to Apex's experience with these cars and @Soul Performance 's header design... the fit and finish is absolutely amazing as the above photos show. It is worth the extra investment in an experienced shop to make a complex setup/install go from 'omfg' to 'wow we did it'...
As far as the performance? It makes driving through NJ/NYC traffic feel like Mario Kart. As suggested to Gaydos, SOUL needs to sell banana peel and turtle shell accessories. Folks have mentioned with other competitor's header's that it transforms the car... IT ABSOLUTELY DOES! The turbos spool up incredibly fast (stock air filter), the turbos have a banshee shriek, the platform just digs in - and goes. Previously with the mods and OTS 2 tune, I'd have to down shift to get the car moving at times... certainly not the case anymore. I do still down shift, but more so to spook myself when going through the Lincoln Tunnel The burbles have sped up in frequency - rather than burble burble burble it's become BURRRRBBLBRRBLLLBRRRRBBLLLLLL, less staccato and a lot more presence. WOW
The volume is louder - you know something happened.... Is it too loud or too annoying? Absolutely NO! Cold starts in a parking garage are still reasonable, the LargePuppy still happily snoozes away in the passenger seat for miles and miles, I can take a conference call without issue (the 'oh you're driving' comments were there before, nothing's changed), and I can listen to a book and Spotify without turning up the volume - I do have sound deadening on my doors, and partially on the rear wheel well. The headers have just enhanced the overall experience of driving - you feel like you're driving something quite magnificent. They're worth every cent, you will be delighted with your purchase.... and yes it was very much worth the wait. If you're considering a mod - this is the one to get, infact get the entire system (cats, headers, exhaust), throw a tune on - and be very satisfied.
Performance wise, we hit almost 394 to the wheels! A series of three dyno runs pre install and a series of three dyno runs were done post install. Off the top of my head I think cats, exhaust, tune was registering 365ish to the wheels - a protune is happening on Friday, 11/06 to really unleash this car. John from Apex will be handling the tuning process - 6 hours of data collection, dyno runs, cool downs, etc. for that I'll be more prepared to provide more photos regarding performance. TBH I was just giddy that this was happening, trying to work, socialize with actual humans, and manage a pup all at once, so didn't get to take many photos. I did take one of 2/3 runs post install, Mike Spock and John Gaydos will probably follow up with the other photos / documentation. Everyone left the shop that night thoroughly impressed.
If anyone needs a listen - I'm sure it can be arraigned

I have lost track of everyone's specs who has installed headers, but does anyone have:
- PSE
- pref Base care
- Soul Sport cats
- No tune
With that combo, as I have zero interest now in tuning, does the sound get much better from the PSE to Cats install? That was life changing LOL for me, so cannot imagine the headers would be the same incremental jump/enjoyment in sound when you already have PSE and Soul Sport cats installed.

@LargePuppy and I were both surprised at the change in exhaust volume. I wouldn't say it's as night and day as the Sport Catalytic Converters as those are are removing massive cats, but converting to a single wall design with superior flow makes a noticeable difference.

What about headers..does that open you up to more warranty risks vs just cats?

Thank you everyone for your patience as we developed and tested our Sport Headers. It's been a long journey with lots of experimentation but we're ready to launch with a solid performance component to enhance your Carrera! Thank you to all who did long term road testing, dyno testing, and gave us feedback.
We sought out to maximize performance and boost response while minding clearance on daily driven cars. Our optimized 3 into 1 merge collector design improves response over the poor factory design, while our runners ultimately increase exhaust velocity into the collector and turbo. Looking into the factory headers you will notice a support in the middle runner which is detrimental to a smooth flow path out of that exhaust port – all in all the design is very basic with lots of room for improvement. The factory turbo inlet measures around 1.54” ID and we sized our header outlet to 1.63” for a smooth flow path into the turbo. The internal volume of the header combined with the resulting design improvements pairs well with the efficiency map of the turbo giving you noticeably quicker boost response and more power throughout the RPM range.
Varun's base model Carrera already had our Sport Catalytic Converters and Performance Exhaust. The car also has a COBB Accessport with Stage 2 map. We did 3 runs as it came and after installation a total of 6 runs to generate our data. John at Apex is extremely professional and militant about ensuring his Mustang dyno is dialed in and corrected to SAEJ1349 standards to produce a universally repeatable result at other locations no matter the temp, elevation etc.
The two runs on this chart are the middle performing runs from our before and after header sessions. Max gains were 12 wheel horsepower and 20 ft-lbs of torque with a noticeable gain across the power band. We know that the performance numbers of headers have seen scrutiny on Rennlist and we're open to working with members to produce more results from different configurations to provide good data for the forum. Knowledge is power.
We've seen concerns of ground clearance with some headers and did our best to ensure ample clearance while still producing great results: mission achieved!
Each set is assembled in house in the USA out of laser cut flanges and mandrel bent, thick wall .065" T304L stainless steel. Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration and longevity. We fabricate these headers using thick gauge aluminum fixtures which act as a great heat sink during the welding process and prevent warping not only of our products, but the fixtures themselves to ensure perfect fitment. New OEM gaskets and hardware are included for a proper installation.
Enjoy your SOUL exhaust parts with confidence on both the street and track as they are covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Yes, we mean it...a full warranty for track use! Our team will quickly work with you to resolve any issues or answer any questions that you may have.

This is fabulous news! Thanks so much for developing and releasing this part.
Is there a positive argument to be made on single wall headers like this to have them coated with some type of ceramic heat retention coating to retain the heat transfer ability of the stock manifolds? Or is it a case that once everything is at operating temperature the benefit fades?

Sounds like you guys could use a set haha. We're slammed and scheduled out through first week of January at the moment. Get your orders in ASAP as the sooner they're ordered and put in the fabrication queue, the sooner you'll receive them
