Gotta save money where they can! Any mass produced vehicle, they look to save cents wherever they can.

991.2 Carrera header development is underway! Oliver is currently fixturing the stock headers to establish a few points necessary for flange fitment. We use thick gauge aluminum as it is a superior heat sink to stainless steel and it is less prone to warping during repeated use. More info to come!

Yeh agreed thanks for sharing, what i find most interesting is that with the valves open it appears to be quite a straight path, im surprised that the exhaust isnt much much louder with the valves open compared to closed. That cross pipe part must really have a big impact as honestly its a very quiet car even with the PSE.

While we are on the subject of installations - ATTENTION please!

We've noticed an increasing amount of vehicles coming in for installs have snapped or missing turbo heat shield hardware. We highly recommend being very careful when removing the bolts and using penetrating fluid. We also recommend using anti-seize on the threads when reinstalling.

Very good point, Mike. When I installed my Soul cats, I discovered one of these shield bolts to be broken. And to think that the car had only been serviced by the dealership, prior to my purchase.

Quick question for you. What’s your favourite brand of penetrating fluid for these bolts?

I have a about three brands and they don’t seem to work equally well on all metal combinations. Thanks.

Don't take my word for it, check this vid out!

"Results: Liquid Wrench came out on top, following by ATF/Acetone, Royal Purple, WD-40, PB Blaster, and AeroKroil."

We're quickly making progress on our development headers!

Oh, that looks sexy. I’m looking forward to the dyno results.

One thing that I’d find even more interesting than more power is reduced lag. Please let us know if you can measure that.

FWIW I used PB Blaster and a looooonnnng soak time with great results, however I’m very open to trying the more highly recommended ones.

So are we! We'll provide as much data and feedback as possible. While it will be hard to quantify a reduction lag in data, our headers won't get our seal of approval if they add lag.

Thanks for the updates-keep them coming! Are these equal length? If not, any particular reason for not doing so (more so curious on the advantages/disadvantages)?

We're going as close to equal length as possible while minding ground clearance.
