Sure they're 2018's and not 2017's?

Yes, definitely 2018's. (Two in chalk, btw, I had not seen that color in person yet) I asked my sales rep about the hold, as he just took my order for an '18 GTS and he says:
""We have been warned about the EPA hold. Not sure what is on hold because we just got a truckload of 2018 Macans yesterday. Last week the Macan models were on ADMINISTRATIVE HOLD but now they are flowing, as are Panameras and Carreras.
Have not seen any 18 Cayennes yet though. They may still be on “Hold”."

Maybe just vehicles built during a certain time-frame? I did NOT ask him if their specific 2018 911's in stock now can be sold without any delay but I will first chance today.

Guys, it's state by state certification as well. So some states will release faster than others plus or minus a few weeks.

Hi everyone-Ordered my 2018 Cayman on 4/28. Originally told it would be in August 18th but then called a couple weeks ago and told it would be in 7/28. Today (the day of delivery) got this email. Will keep everyone up to date as this progresses.

We are writing to inform you about an unanticipated delay in the estimated delivery date of your new Porsche Cayman. We are currently awaiting receipt of the final regulatory certifications required to sell and deliver the vehicles to our dealers.

At the moment the exact length of the delay is unknown, however we currently expect your vehicle will be ready for delivery approximately four to twelve weeks later than the originally planned delivery date. We would like to assure you that we are working continuously with all parties to obtain the required certification as soon as possible. We encourage you to stay in close contact with your Sales Executive at your local Porsche Center who can address any questions you may have and who will inform you as soon as your vehicle is ready for delivery.

We very much regret that you will not be enjoying your new Porsche as soon as you hoped. As a symbol of our sincere appreciation for your continued patience and understanding, we are pleased to inform you that we will apply one additional year of the Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan to your vehicle. In addition to the first year, which is already included with your new 2018 Porsche Cayman, this plan covers your second regularly scheduled maintenance visit, as specified in your vehicle’s published maintenance booklet. Please consult that booklet for a complete list of operations performed and required service intervals for your specific vehicle.

We also offer Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plans for further extended durations. If you would like to purchase (or already have selected) a Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan longer than two years, your dealer will ensure you are only charged the difference.

We thank you for your loyalty to the Porsche brand and sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Simon Kuhnimhof Jeffrey Newman

Heh, also ordered a 2018 Cayman with expected delivery 7/28 in Houston The last tracking sheet received 7/5.
Actually found out about the delivery delay for 2018s from this forum and emailed the sales agent to confirm one week before our expected delivery date. Was told to expect a mid to late August delivery and received no further updates, and certainly have not received any email correspondence from PCNA offering extended maintenance. Needless to say, I am pretty pissed about the poor communication, but I have tried my hardest to remain polite and non-accusatory in my emails. While I understand it's not the dealerships fault for these delays, I would have preferred finding out directly from the sales agent and not from randomly creeping on forums that my car is going to be sitting in the Port of Houston for God knows how long in >100F weather that kills dogs and children versus my own garage where it is supposed to be adored and tended to.

Also it seems like there are a handful of Houstonians that literally had cars in the same boat. I get so angry thinking about this and how helpless I am right now. I don't want to harass the dealership and **** them off too because I imagine that's only going to make things worse for everyone.

My dealer just informed me that Porsche has recently delayed ALL 2018 models across Canada due to some Transport Canada emissions testing issue. My 911 GTS was scheduled to arrive mid August. Now it’s anyone’s guess when I’ll see it. I thought this was an EPA issue only. Sheesh. Anyone else in Canada hearing this too?
