My dealer just informed me that Porsche has recently delayed ALL 2018 models across Canada due to some Transport Canada emissions testing issue. My 911 GTS was scheduled to arrive mid August. Now it’s anyone’s guess when I’ll see it. I thought this was an EPA issue only. Sheesh. Anyone else in Canada hearing this too?

sorry but that sounds like a lazy answer on your dealers part. Ask them to send you the tracking sheet. Your specific vehicle may be delayed for other reasons. Not EPA issue

The only vehicles that are fully covered are those that will travel on an open car carrier to the dealership. All the Porsches travel via closed truck, VW/Audi are wrapped and sent on open trucks. Kinda interesting; Bentley are not covered and delivered on open trucks.
There is another lot across the street with all Cayman. I have video of both lots just have to decide if its worth the bother to post online. And whoever ordered the chalk turbo, it is friggin gorgeous!!! With all the VW/Audi Dieselgate buybacks there is almost no more room for this latest Porsche fiasco.

My car is on its way!! The ship just left Newark and is on its way through the Panama Canal with an eta of 8/3. Probably another 2-3 days later for it to get to San Diego.

Don't think that just because VW was primarily behind the diesel gate event that Porsche did not have a hand in it. Every division President knew exacting what was going on. The EPA is now rightfully extensively testing any VW owned cars for violations...........
When everyone involved lies and denies and knows for years the cheating..........

Davisville, RI at the old Quonset Military Air base. What's even more incredible are all the VW Dieselgate buy backs that are being stored there on grass fields. I counted five lots, with the largest having cars (many still with plates on them!) extending further than the eye could see. The buyback lots in California and Jersey are probably even larger... Here is a shot of the smallest lot.

What a shame to see all those cars sitting there. My wife has a Gen 2 A6 TDI which will be fixed, not bought back, and she's very happy because she loves the car. I would really like to buy another super-cheap because I have teenage driver kids coming up soon...
