This. And FWIW looks like my car will be held a few extra days as well. So be it. Though I know Scott's car has been sitting for forever, that really does suck.

FWIW my dealer told me around August 18th, my car is confirmed at the port as well. Which is great because I'll be gone for 2.5 weeks then haha. #feelyourpainscott

On Macan Forum.

"Should I take delivery of the car if it sits at the port for over 45 days? Salt water rain, heat and all other environmental factors close to the sea may cause many problems for the car"

This is a very valid point.

whiny brat - take the SL63 and go on your vacation. I watched about half the video... MB offered a free SL63 to drive until things are fixed. That is a major stepping up to the plate by MB. He's whining that he can't take his C63s Coupe on a road trip vacation....

That sucks but it is a little different than selling and asking for it back. the C63s guy has his title in hand.

Just means if you get your car back and it has noticeable weather damage, force the dealer to order you a new one and not take the car you've got. They will have to go back and get Porsche to step up. I'd be pissed as hell if my car was PTS (just because unique paint) or a really dark color, those get hit the hardest.

Do we know if they are even uncrated yet? In order for them to be held - I'd assume that the cars are sitting in shipping crates. protected. I don't believe in this case that they are just sitting in a big parking lot at port. That would mean that they've been allowed in. Likely they are still on the boat.

This says they use both open and closed containers.
