Not at all. It's like I said, it must be retaliation because the current administration could care less about the environment. How else can we look at it?

For those who doubt that Trump's policies could be involved in this EPA mess, here is a link to a Fox News story outlining Trump's own words and views on German trade practices and what he will do about it.

Let's face it, if Trump did not want the EPA messing with VW, he could simply call up Pruitt and say cool it.

I find that hard to believe considering 2017 passed and 2018s are the same cars.
They could care less or couldnt care less?

I said that before, they go after google, apple et al, we go after their car companies.

The rest of America will care less about the inconvenience to someone who wants a product they may never afford.

This happened when I ordered my 2012 E92 M3. It was a mid-cycle refresh year and all M3s were stuck waiting on the EPA. Took a month or two to resolve if I remember correctly. Fortunately, for me, it cleared up shortly before mine shipped.

Somebody on the forum had found a way to monitor the status of cars being cleared so we knew when they started moving again almost immediately. There's a gov site somewhere where the new certifications are posted.

Wut? You mean what other conclusions can we draw other than a totally baseless supposition you're making on purely political grounds?

You seriously think Trump, with all the crap he has swirling around him and with all the animosity he has toward the EPA and it's leadership, took the time to convince them to hold a few hundred Porsche cars at the port? When you read that out loud, do you realize how crazy that sounds? And if it is retaliation, why focus on Porsche instead of Merc or BMW? They import more cars in a month to the US than Porsche does in a year.

It happens all the time to Porsche too. A few months ago the 991 Turbo and Turbo Cabriolet were in non-compliance because they used the wrong warning lamp symbols on the dashboard. The Macan were held at port just recently for another reason too.

Unfortunately OTAQ seems to be offline.

Asked my dealer if any compensation is being distributed. He replied:

Nothing confirmed but those vehicles that were delayed will receive (1) no charge annual maintenance. There is no financial compensation.

Why would there be? As frustrating as it must be shi& happens. Nobody got hurt and you will get your car. It will be interesting to find out why they were all held.

I was just told by PCNA that they expected that my car, which had been scheduled for delivery on August 18, would only be delayed by a couple of days.

The dealer had told previously me to expect delivery at the end of July, so that August 18 date may be a bit of revisionist history in order to give Porsche an ability to say that the delay didn't really affect me, but perhaps this at least gives some sense of when the expect the EPA issue to be resolved.

Dealer confirms that my car is on a boat and would have been delivered end July absent delay. So, yeah, PCNA is spinning. I just hope time frame is accurate and that this won't be more than a couple of weeks.

How else can we look at it? Like 1,000 more logical ways!!

Maybe Porsche is to blame?? Maybe they didn't file or submit testing for 2018's?? We don't know any of the facts here.
