I was going to purchase a new airbag and this wheel: 95B419091AKA34
It is for a Macan with heating and leather only. no carbon or wood. Has anyone else done it with this wheel? Seems to be about $850-900 from the online porsche parts stores. Havent' seen one on ebay lately with the specs I wanted.
So on my 2015 targa 4... after the install of the 991.2 clock spring and 991.2 MF wheel. I turned over the key and got
Warnings for.
1. Warning System Fault
2. Warning Headlight control defective -Service Required,
3. Warning All wheel function restricted Adapted driving permitted.
4. Warning PSM failure Consult a workshop Adapted driving permitted.
5. No lights on new steering wheel,
6.The shift paddles are inoperable,
How many are normal when battery has been removed?

Before: 991.1 Multifunction wheel with PDK buttons.
After: Macan/991.2 Multifunction wheel with PDK Paddles!
Just installed mine today. Works just as if it were from the factory! The instructions for the adapter were straightforward but I had to find a micro soldering shop to do the resistor swap for the heating switch....ran me $40. Make sure to disconnect your positive battery terminal before starting. I also disconnected the other metal post connected to the positive battery pole. No error messages or dashboard lights. Loving the new wheel and paddles on my ‘13 C4S!

991.1 vehicle can’t support 991.2 clock spring.
Replace clock spring need input all active code and PIWIS coding,calibration steering angle sensor is necessary.
Use original 991.1 clock spring connected gpsadapter in 991.2 steering wheel,All works.
991.1 vehicle can’t support 991.2 clock spring,service center can’t solve your problem.

Add heating function need replace to new 991.1 clock spring with heating support and PIWIS coding,input heating enable code needed also.

Is it possible to just purchase the multifunction switches and retrofit to the new steering wheel? or do I need to get a new steering wheel with heat and MF?

Take a photo of electronic box in your new steering wheel,if it’s have 2 MF module connector sockets,you can purchase buttons module replace original cover,convert to MF steering wheel.

I´m from Portugal (europe) and I have a 991.1 Carrera GTS 2015.
Alcantara Wheel PDK without MF.
I would like to have a 991.2 Black trim with Alcantara and PDK GT Steering wheel "GT3". No Multi function wanted.
Only swap from 991.1 to 991.2 no heat, no MF, No dial.
The only thing I´m sure is that I will need a new airbag.
will it be plug and play? no coding, no adapter, etc...

I purchased the steering wheel, clock spring (b/c my original one did not have the heated function) and air bag from Heinz at Gemballana@msn.com. He was great to work with & very knowledgeable. He also bought back my old steering wheel. For what it's worth, you can tell him Judd referred you. Good luck!
My clock spring works, I put it back together. The clock springs available for purchase in the US doesn't support the PDK and it doesn't seem like it the dealers can order the right ones.

Macan airbag cheaper than 991.2 airbag,only difference parts number.
