the GTS will keep its value far better. And he can always get a 991.2 new in a few years.

Just in reference to throttle response, i.e. turbo lag.

Not overall performance of the car.

991.2 S

Its WAY faster. Its much better technology. And once cobb released its tune, this thing will be dam near close to GT3 levels.

Go 2017 and and get the the 991.2 GTS down the road.

And Im sorry to all you old farts. But the 991.2 sound WAY better than the N/A 991.1. PSsst. Haters. Jealous of that Boost.

GTS... It will always be a more special car.

I have a C2S and not sure if I'll trade for a GTs or not one day but when I bought the GTS was beyond my price point as a cash buyer. Hopefully I can find one as cared for as mine in a couple years with similar miles.

Am I the only one who wonders why these cars are -- from my perspective -- were traded by the first owners? There's always a reason.

Commitment issues, the wife, the next latest and greatest, deep pockets, take your pick.

Some guys go through cars quicker than ...

Common in this segment. We're not talking daily driver Honda Accords here.

I was in your shoes back in May. I picked a '16 GTS but the 991.2 sure looked nice. I didn't even test drive the 991.2. I knew I wanted the last N/A engine, a GTS, and sound is important to me. Yes, the turbo is faster but I'm not racing anybody and the GTS is more than fast enough for me.

Both cars sold new for the same price and now the asking is similar. Value wise, the 17 C2S is better. It is a current model for another 12 months. Performance favors the 17 C2S because of the new tech and motor plus RWS which is is included in the sport pack.

Either way, they are both nice cars.

I'm not old, but I do fart a lot so I guess I can respond:

You're crazy.

Even my kids thought the .1, WITHOUT PSE, sounded better than a .2 with PSE. A lot.

I'm 39 and left BMW because of their turbo motors. You best check your ears if you claim that a smaller displacement turbo motor sounds better than a large displacement NA one!

Your stereotypical response and utter loss of automotive credibility have been noted!

If you're considering a GTS, why not get a C2S. I realize this may be a controversial opinion, but I think the GTS is a scam. The only real difference is wider rear fenders. They are nice -- but $30K-40K more expensive nice? Not to me. And the 30HP power difference is meaningless on a 400HP car. Get a really nicely optioned 991.1S or if you want the wider fenders get a 4S and save tons of money that you can spend on mods or track time. That's what I did.
