Default Sun visors in leather?

I am configuring my car, lock date is next week. I am debating doing the visors in leather. I'm doing full leather, but not all of the extra little leather pieces, except possibly for the visors. It's a Targa so will be more noticeable. Any thoughts are appreciated. Also, do the airbag warning stickers come on the leather visors, and if so, can they be removed easily from the leather without ruining the leather? Thank you.

I just looked at a 911 turbo with all the leather possible and loaded with stitching. Surprisingly the visors were not leather. Checked another 911 with leather visors. I could not tell the difference and would not have known which was leather if not told.

I had them on my '15 TT. Would not order them again.

Is the .2 headliner in Alca? If so you might want Alca sun visors. I did that on my incoming GTS Targa.

That's a good question. I'm not even sure what the headliner is. It's a targa. Who knows what the headliner is?

I checked out the link about removing the air bag stickers. Most seemed to work well, but a few didn't, which makes me nervous about ruining the leather.

As far as whether to get leather in the first place, I remain undecided. On my TT, it is not leather and hasn't been a big deal. Just thought it might be a nice touch, but I don't want to burn the money either. And maybe the pleather is nicer on this 2017 than on my 2010.

Maybe go with the standard vinyl and remove the decals. You might be totally happy and save some dough. If you mess them up THEN buy the leather ones.

Just an idea.

My incoming 4S (whenever that will be) I believe has Alcantara Headliner - is that also on the sun visors?

No. Alcantara visors are a $500+ option.

If you want leather visors, the best approach would be to order the car with the stock vinyl ones, then buy the leather ones from Suncoast. They sell the European version, which doesn't have airbag stickers, so you don't need to worry about damaging the leather.

True but the cost is over $1,000 I believe. Thats $500+ more just to get visors with no decals and then you still have do install them.

But in the Targa, although the headliner is Alca, the underside of the Targa top is some form of stretched fabric (not Alca for sure), and the Alca does not start until the Targa bar and back from there. So the visors are not very close to the Alca headliner in the Targa for sure. Just wanted to point out that nuance.

I had them in my last 911, a Turbo. Total non-entity, in my opinion. Other than looking at the build sheet (I bought it used), seeing that the visors were leather, touching them to confirm... after that I never noticed, cared, or in any way was aware of them as such. That was the only Porsche I've had with leather visors. no big whup.
