I'm getting dangerously close to trying this now. Feels like the only thing my GTS is missing is paddles plus MF...

I remember your review of the .2

One thing that stuck with me was the praise for the GT Sport steering wheel. Plus after driving my Macan S with the smaller airbag, I needed to try it.

Haha yeah, the Spyder that has just joined my family has the GT wheel in alcantara and it's lovely...

My GT Sport wheel wasn't a "stock" wheel. Was like 5 week wait from Germany.

Ordered from Luke @ Sunset Porsche Parts on Oregon. Info in post #1
Order just placed on their website. Hope it doesn't take 5 weeks to ship! Thanks for the info. Will let you know how it goes/works.

I know your thread is primarily discussing putting the 991.2 steering wheel in the 991.1, but can you verify that your 'original' 991.1 wheel and the Sport 991.1 have interchangeable airbags?

Planning on selling the 991.1 Sport wheel?

Yes, all 991.1 airbags are interchangeable among all .1 wheels.

Selling, the .1 sport wheel? Might just keep it incase I need it at some point.

Nice sound improvement. Well worth the $ for me. Performance? I'm sure a "small" bit. More of a package deal.

Does the IPD Plenum change the sound that much?
Is your car also tuned?

No tune. At this point, I just need a "mod" break. I'm actually very satisfied with the current performance, but was curious to try something that enhanced the sound experience.

Still have laser/radar install to get done in the Macan with a pkg from Musicar.

The downshift burbles are much more pronounced and interior cabin sound much better. I'm impressed. Glad I did it. Haven't even gotten to listen to my Burmester upgraded tweeters much! The PSE beats out any music.

Was in manual PDK mode too showing off a bit with revs and downshifts.

I would consider the plenum and filters if I didn't have the AWE already. I'm a sucker for interior/induction noise and I can only imagine how good it sounds. Sadly (or maybe not sadly?), the SwitchPath is batsh*t loud and interior induction noise doesn't really matter anymore.

I've heard good reviews here about the SwitchPath. Even going back a few years now. Doing a plenum/filters would take it up a small notch still. But like you mentioned, the SwitchPath is pretty loud as is.

I'm very happy with the IPD/BMC/PSE combo.
