Do people hate Yellow 911s?
I love yellow 911s. Love yellow sports cars in general. But all my sports cars have been black (including my 01' 996 C4 cab).
I'm seriously thinking about picking up a CPO 991. Must be manual, would love a C2S or C4S, but realistically a C2 (or even C4) will be in my ~$70k price range. I can find black ones everywhere, and there are a great selection locally. Yellow...not so much. I did a search on Porsche's pre-owned inventory page against every dealer in the country. There are 2 C2s in the entire country - one is a 2015 for $99.5k and the other is a 2014 C2. And the 2014 is in my price range but its PDK. So literally not a single one in stock right now that fits my requirements.
Do people hate yellow or are they that rare? I'm wondering if resale will be more attractive or less attractive if I decide to move this thing down the road. Sure, I tell myself I'll keep it for a long time, but I'm known to flip through my vehicles often.
Maybe I just "settle" for another black one...

Had a conversation recently with my SA, as a number of their leftover Caymans were yellow. He said they were a harder sell than most colors. He had just had a client have second thoughts and back out after agreeing to buy a yellow Cayman S they had heavily discounted.
I think they just need to find that special buyer that really digs yellow, and those folks are not as common as those of us crazies who love black.

Fellow RL'r just took delivery of a beautiful racing yellow GTS. Look forward to seeing it live next week up in CT. T

I really like the look of yellow Porsches but after owning a Speed Yellow Boxster in 2000 I was done with it.
Something about it just got old.
Guards Red for me ever since, which I never tire of.

I like paler shades of yellow like dakar yellow (offered on the E36 M3) and pastel yellow that was offered on the 993. Not a fan of saturated yellows that Porsche currently offers

I love Speed Yellow. Love the old 993's in SY. The new Racing Yellow is also great. Don't think I'd want to own a yellow car. I like to fly under the visual radar a little.

Wanting yellow + manual is really going to limit your selection of cars. You may want to consider getting the car with the options you want and then just putting a yellow wrap on it. Might be easier to sell that way too. Just return it to stock color.

Not a bad idea...I have limited knowledge on wrap options so a new thing to investigate!
