Yellow is great! Way too many cars are black/white it gets boring. I'm a huge fan of colors that stand out.
You have expressed the opinion that you think black and white cars are boring at least a half a dozen times. So, what color is your car? I probably won't think it's boring, but even if I do, I promise I won't subject you to that opinion over and over again.
Go ahead...live a little on the 'wild side'. You know what they
say: "Once you tried 'Yellow' you will always be mellow!"
Conversely, some of us who have tried 'Black' (& suffered
dreaded swirls on the painted surfaces) will never go back!
So horses for courses...or whatever!
You are not wrong. It's called 'Man of Chile Grey'.
It's a super cool color!
I REALLY REALLY like that grey! I'd almost call it gunmetal grey or something along those lines. Maybe it's the fact that a jet is behind it and I'm being influenced by the background. I'm gullible that way. Earlier in another thread somebody posted a pic of his jeep out in the wilderness and it looked so damn cool that I decided to check out the Jeep models/options available!
nothing wrong with yellow 911s unless you option them with red interior. I just saw one a few days ago and hoped that lady worked as some executive for McDonald's.

False, I haven't really expressed my opinion because I always tone down my dislike of black and white cars. You're welcome to disparage Aqua Blue Metallic as much as you like, it wouldn't bother me if you put in 800 threads that you'd rather order a car PTS in "dog poop brown", just as it doesn't bother anyone that truely loves their black/white when I mention that I think those colors belong on a Prius not a sports car. For someone that's on the fence about black/white, having a dissenting voice to counter all the gushing is useful encouragement to go get the color they really want. It's my opinion and if you don't want to be "subjected" to it, please feel free to not read my posts.

The exterior is very nice.
The interior color is too safe. By that I mean that whoever picked black wanted to pick a publicly acceptable color rather than choose something risky. When all all the risk goes into choosing a yellow exterior, the reliably safe black interior becomes the usual choice. The yellow stitching and dials are dominant, predictable and boring.
The interior needs to convey a subtle complement to the exterior color rather than an obvious, or plebeian, sort of agreement. Espresso Cognac would fit comfortably because yellow is a component of those colors but not dominant. And the stitching is an attractive, low key, partner.
One needs to be careful when coloring the dials because colored dials are kind of effeminate ideas. Dials transmit the business end of the car. They should be white because white means business.
Hard to believe your going from a silver car to a yellow one. If I'm reading your opening sentence correctly.
^ I'll disagree, in part, with the above. Black with deviated stitching looks very shape IMO. A local PCA member has that on his yellow 997 C2S. I think that if you slap in some yellow seat belts - there was a thread about this recently about a company in Miami that would do it aftermarket - and a few other yellow accents, I think you have something that looks good and separate from the mass of yellow over black 911s...T
