Out to Sunrise Highway and MT Laguna. Minor traffic at 9am but some of the roads were beat up good.

Quick drive around Boston to get out of the house. Took this cool photo at Underground Ink Block parking.

Beautiful day to go for a drive. One of our stopping places is in Fauquier County at a closed army barracks near Prince William County in VA. Vint Hill Farms Station was a U.S. Army post that gathered intelligence during World War II and researched and developed intelligence equipment during the Cold War. The post was closed in 1997. My wife and I used to walk around the grounds with our dog, but a fence was put up about a year ago to keep trespassers from entering and vandalizing the buildings. Stay safe!

Not my car but they look like sport design wheels that were available on early 991s. I had a 2012.5 991S with those wheels. They grew on me over time and now they are one of the rarer OEM wheels on 991s.

His car (and wheels) are gorgeous! Great photo!

I have been up by laguna at least once a week hiking since shelter in place started. Just found out about a route through Otay that drops you right on the 8 just before sunrise highway that I drove twice this week since it was so fantastic. Everything is so incredibly green for SD lately.

Thank you so much! This is the first "nice" photo I've taken of my car since getting in a couple months ago!

One of the other members mentioned it below, they are Sport Design Wheels! The previous owner had them refinished for a BBS darker metallic finish.

I took a similar route but started a bit north of Otay - we likely ended up on the same road after Dulzura.

Your car is stunning - I really like the stripe and the gold/bronze rims are very tasteful with the color (Agate Grey?).

So many interesting touches on this car, and the black touches (rear badging, headlight surrounds, creative front signal trim, etc) as well as the bronze wheels really work with the Agate. Its most "overt" touch, the stripe treatment, is more artful than many others of late—reminds me of a take on the old IROC side stripes even if it is closely tied to the more commonly seen "Porsche" stripes. The result is a 991 that looks subtle, and special. You have to study it a bit to figure out why, and what it is. Reminds me of the subtly personalized German cars of the Bay Area that I fell in love with as a kid. They're rare now in today's lease culture. Cool to see one from the other side of the pond, and to be reminded that sort of thinking is alive and well.
