Not much of a drive, or a very scenic destination. But I did get the car out for the first time in a few weeks and drove to a local country club to meet fellow Rennlister Skywaterbanjo.

Here is my car on the Ferry to the Amelia Island Werks event.

The other cars were slow compared to the 992.

Just spent a great hour on the road. Sunroof open, Eagles playing....pure therapy on wheels. Stopped by our campground. Should have the trailer down there next week. I think it's going to be a good year!

Nice car but shouldn't this be in the 992 section?

Before L.A. went into self-imposed quarantine, a pre-storm run to the ocean. Good medicine!

Needs a bath, inside and out. They should take this car away from me.

Oh - I can’t say enough good things about the Michelin Alpins. They worked well in the cold (night time temps in Flagstaff AZ were around 10F and later in Gallup NM it was down to 3F). Later we got caught in a snowstorm in Fishlake Natl Forest and had to stop HARD, in the snow, to avoid mule deer - had complete control.

My favorite picture of the entire thread.. #usingit

Deer Canyon Road! One of my favorite Malibu Canyon drives. (Though it is actually in Ventura County.) Awesome curves and elevation changes with epic Pacific Ocean views on the way down. I drive it often, especially in the hour before and after sunset- best viewed from the turn out right where the road disappears in your great picture. If you haven't already, try Latigo Canyon Road- 14 miles west of Deer Canyon:

Latigo Canyon – Malibu, CA
HIGHEST POINT: 2,122 ft
VERTICAL GAIN: 2,016 ft
LENGHTH: 9.2 miles
GRADE: 4.2% average, about 12% max

I would post some of my own pics, but my GTS is a 997.

I traded in a perfect 991.1 26K mile (with paperwork) 3.4L car for the 992.

The 992 got a good parking place at the Amelia Island Werks event.

Love seeing these, especially amidst all the heavy headlines. Thanks for sharing, and I think I'll do the same...

Recent drive from SFO Arrivals > Thunderhill, with quick stop for a Porsche designer who'd never seen the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge. He really dug the batteries, and his colleagues' handiwork in the form of a 991. Fun to see people who work at Porsche are just as car crazy—and utterly normal—as the rest of us. It was a fun drive through the night from there...
