This thing is super-planted in the snow (GTS 4 w/ M+S). I did my best to get her to slip and slide but you really have drive recklessly to make that happen. Was really interesting to see how the differential sends power to the fronts when in snow vs. dry roads.

Nice! I try to do this drive at least once a month - need to find some new roads to drive though. Guess I will be looking north...which will likely mean a 7 hour drive for me as well.

We’re on another semi-annual road trip.

We made it almost to California from Seattle in relentless heavy rain - but we had to stop to sleep with maybe 15 miles more to go to the border. Found this hotel with a 70’s theme - decorated with bubble chairs and framed period LPs.

Here’s how Mt. Shasta looks when obscured by clouds...

Not Mt. Shasta

Spent a couple days in San Diego, then headed east to see stuff... Here’s some random places so far:

Imperial Sand Dunes - a stone’s throw from Mexico

Organ Pipe Cactus

Sedona

Petrified Forest

Painted Desert

I think I like this car even more in the wet than in the dry. I just broke the tail loose about 15 times with a car full of groceries.
