Default GTS mesh grill question

looking at the front of the photos of that 911R and thinking about how much crap i have vacuumed out of the intakes make me really want to do this change but i have a few questions for those who have done it.

1) where did you find the mesh grill? have looked on suncoast and can't seem to find it. what did you pay?

2) what is a good price to have this installed by the dealer or an independent? i don't have nearly the skill or patience to do this myself

3) if you have gotten this done and have gotten crud behind the grill itself, how do you then clean that?

thanks in advance for all the advice guys.

Or you could do it yourself for a small fraction of the cost.... ;-) And the pleasure of sense of accomplishment....

You'll have different cut-outs, but same basic steps all-around... DIY Mesh Install

Of course, and totally understand! I just like to keep people aware of the fact that they could in fact do this type of mod without paying someone else....

Post pics before / after you get the Rennlines installed!

hope you ordered the right variant for your GTS, others have previously made the mistake and ordered the wrong one.

Highyo ,,'m in the same "not talented" bracket as well ,, plus I have the ACC sensor installed on my 2014_50 to deal with ,,,which has been problematic . But that said ... Rennline has offered me a kit , including grill work for the center piece, but I would need to make fit, the material is aluminum.. ZUNSPORT has offered to supply once they can figure out the dims for my particular build, minaGallery has offer to make the center unit, once I get the proper dims ..I did speak with Michael at www.racemeshgrilles.com, has offered to do a custom build ... so am still weighing options at this venue .. good luck

does 3 hours of labor sound right? at 169 per that's like 500 bucks + 300 for the grills! turning into a pricey job.

yes got the right one, took a decent amount of concentration to get it right. now i'm hemming and hawing over the labor costs.

its about right but its also a bit expensive too! have you tried a Porsche Approved Repair shop? - their rates may be lower circa $100/hr

My dealer, Leith Porsche, Cary NC did it for $237.00 labor. A little flemsy but appear to be OK installed.
