Default Rennline front wire mesh grill kit

Anyone have experience with this kit? It seems useful especially with track use for preventing rubber pieces/debris from damaging the radiators. I was actually surprised the radiators were so exposed when i first got my GTS in the front bumper. Only thing i'm not too happy about it having to remove the front bumper to install the wire mesh. I am considering getting the kit however.

Bumper comes off. Very nice and zero regrets.

If you're not a highly skilled DIY guy, I'd have a body shop do the install like I did.

Any concerns over air flow restriction? I guess it should be OK since the GT3's come with a similar mesh, but just curious if anyone knows the amount of airflow loss. I guess any airflow loss might be offset by keeping leaves and other debris out of the radiators and AC condensers.

Theres a mldly used gt3 on the floor at princeton porsche that has grills that were installed. You wouldnt think by looking at the pictures, but it is really noticeable in person.

GT3 comes from the factory with grills. Have a silver color to them. Not 100% black like the Rennline. The GT3 sit more flush to the bumper because of the design.

I've never heard any concerns over reduced air flow.

Picture, my GT Silver C2S and friends White GT3. I also added the center radiator to my car which the x51 has. I like the look better than the cap. Plus extra cooling can't hurt. In the Middle East, they spec ALL 911's with the center radiator. All models.

I had the dealer add the Rennline kit before I took delivery. Seems to great, looks like a factory piece. and might save you from some damage. Would agree with prior post that it didn't seem like a project for a casual DIYer. My thoughts....

Just had them put in also with my regular bumper switch out to the sport design bumper with my duck spoiler. They look great as you can tell by STGs pics. Worth the price. I had the switch done at a (or in my case the only) Porsche approved body shop in the area...did everything there rather than the dealer since labor rate is much less at the collision center.

Yes, do it. You won't believe all of the bugs and trash that gets collected, and I think it is a must for the track. I had the dealer install it as well.

Sounds like I will be getting the kit based on all of the positive reviews. How is the fit? Any need for modifications for make the grills fit?

I've been looking to add these for some time, but have been turned off by the statement from Rennline that they do not fit cars with parking sensors.

http://www.rennline.com/Front-Bumper...info/E151.152/

What is the clearance problem with the parking sensors that doesn't allow for the grille to be insterted/fastened? Additionally, I have the 3rd radiator, so I wonder if there is an issue with that, too.

Anyone with a C4S with parking sensors install these, or can recommend another solution?

I'm sure Rennline will ship overseas. Why not?

If you have a problem, let me know. Email them and ask.

I just emailed you back, but since I came across this thread I figured I'd let everyone know that international shipping is no problem!
