thanks but what exactly do air inlets do? Improved air volume?, increased power?

The old story that Over oiled filters can clog up your MAFS does not apply to our 911’s. That would be because we don’t have MAFS, we have MAPS. Can’t clog, whats not on the car. So they are perfectly safe for our 991.2 911’s.

A little late with this, but here is my list:

-Full body XPEL
-Clear front side markers
-Techart Lowering Springs for PASM
-AWE Switchpath Valved Exhaust, works using the OE Sport Exhaust button
-20" OEM Turbo Sport Classic Wheels in black (w/305 Pirelli Rears)
-H&R rear spacers
-Black "PORSCHE" rear emblem
-Model designation emblem delete
-Caliper "PORSCHE" decals in black

Please post some before/after pics of the change from the Techart Springs + spacers (which size). I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Curious of your impression of how the handling has changed (or hasn't).

My spacer setup won’t apply to you, but I can give you some figures to be somewhat duplicated. I swapped the OEM Sport Design wheels with OEM Turbo Sport Design wheels in black. The stock ones were a little girly IMO and I love the Fuchs style wheel, especially with a ducktail (the 2.7 RS was always my favorite as a kid).
Stock Rear Wheels: 20x11, 51 offset, 295 tire.
New Rear Wheels: 20x11, 70 offset, 305 tire.
So my 20mm H&R spacers in the rear were just to bring it back to the OE offset spec to clear everything. However the .5 wider wheel and 10mm wider tire make the setup stick out the equivalent of around 5-10mm further out vs stock. Front wheels are 0.5 wider but kept the same 245 wide tires because I was worried about rubbing, and there is none. So there is about a 5-7mm difference in how far the front stick out over stock.

For the Techart Springs. They do lower another 10mm over my previous height, but I do have the PASM suspension/button with the already lower OEM stock height. However, no matter your stock setup, the final result will be the same. It will just may be a bigger stock vs after install difference.
As far as ride, it’s a more Porsche-y/ fun ride for sure. It’s maybe 1/3 more the way towards the feel of the suspension button being turned on (with it off), and with the PASM button on it’s much stiffer than before. I like the sportier ride. No more need to push the button. BUT if you know you’re going to have some twisting fun, the car feels maybe 30% firmer and planted after the springs and the button on. Too stiff to daily drive that way though. Height wise the springs are absolutely perfect. Perfect wheel gap all around, and zero issues.

Below are some pictures to give you an idea of the new wheel/fender gap and wheel offset placement. Please excuse the set of pictures I just took with the wheel covers on. I’m in the middle of a house project so I needed the space. Covers are on in case of a shower. I don’ want surface rust building up on the rotors while it’s outside.

The 991’s no longer use MAFS but use Map (manifold absolute pressure) sensors that are not subject to oil contamination.

Was that rear light bar put in? I thought the GTS has the black panel there.

That not the only problem with oiled filters. In addition to causing issues with cars that have MAF, the oil dries out and needs to be re-applied about once a month. Since the filter is extremely difficult to access on the 991.2 no one is going to be reapplying oil. You might as well not even be running a filter if you have an oiled filter that is dry because it hasn’t been re-oiled. This was an issue that was studied extensively while I was an engineer at Ford, specifically with K&N filters and F150/250 work trucks, and the conclusion: don’t run oiled filters if you care about engine longevity.

I have been using K&N oiled filters on all my vehicles starting in the late 80’s and cleaned and oiled them at 50,000 mile intervals. The vehicles ranged from GM 4,6 and 8 cylinder cars and trucks, Toyotas, two turbo 4 cylinder Mopars and a Lexus. This includes my three daughters cars that I do all of the maintenance on. Some of the cars have exceeded 250,000 miles and none of them has had a major engine issue or oil consumption issues. In the 90’s our corporate mechanic switched our fleet of 20 Chevy Silverado trucks to K&N oiled filters also with a 50,000 mile cleaning and oiling schedule. The fleet was replaced between 200,000 and 250,000 miles again with no engine failures. I have never added oil between 7500 mile oil changes on my work truck.

I do not claim that I have performed thorough or scientific research as you have but only want to share my experience with the K&N oiled filters. I am currently using aFe dry filters on my 981 CS as they sent me a free set to resolve a shipping issue that I had when I purchased my aFe headers otherwise I would be using K&N filters.

Michelin Cup 2 N1
Finally was able to get to the dealership to get a set of Michelin Cup 2 (N1) tires installed to replace the OEM P Zeros (11600 miles of use). The P Zero rears were approaching the wear bars, but the fronts were solid 50% life remaining which matches the 1F:2R life that people describe.

Had to drop the air pressure from what the dealership set them at down to a more liveable psi.

1. Much noiser, but this was expected.
2. Much more grip, very obvious. And much better feedback when on a cloverleaf onramp. Will definitely be in large speeding ticket territory to find the limits. Will save that for the track.
3. Sidewall not as stiff as I was expecting.
4. Did not experience significant tramlining.

Will get a few hundred miles on them.

Used OZ wheels and Michelin Alpin winter tires
Paid for a set of used winter tires/wheels for the winter. Decided to drive the 911 earlier and later in the year
