What did you buy your 991 today thread
#6992
I think it would be a great time to sell as dealers really don't have any new cars to sell. Plus car has been checked out by dealer and needs nothing at this time. I had the car sold in Jan. but buyer couldn't get loan so the deal fell thru.
She's great and gets lots of attention everywhere she goes
Would be great Miami car

Well, after spending several sporadic hours over the last 5 days trying to instal Soul Sport headers, I finally got it done.
My bad luck, that the very first O2 sensor I tackled refused to budge... I eventually removed the bumper and disconnected O2 sensor cables and removed the OEM headers with O2 attached. I then used a blow torch to heat the O2 sensors up and they came off with some effort.
Installed Soul Headers and had to take a break, wash up before I could take it out for a ride
Initial impressions:
Sound:
With Valves closed- To my strained ears, even with the sunroof open, they sound no louder than OEM when exhaust valves are closed off, although the car has a different tone (a growl)
With Valves open: the car is marginally loud below 2500 RPM, and has a Growl when blipping throttle. After 2500 things change drastically, car sounds Amazing. I am besides myself
Drone: There is More drone with valves open when cruising at 60 MPH, please note that in my opinion OEM Sport exhaust ALSO DRONES, the Drone is just very slightly louder.
Power:
- Butt dyno confirms what I expected, Very noticeable Torque increase, especially between 2500-5500, I made several passes in 2nd and 3rd gear giving it full beans around 2500 and no question the car is much torquer, (by N/A standards)
All in all, this upgrade is a no brainer and something I should have done a long time ago
sorry no pics

Glad to hear you were able to complete the installation - what a hassle there - but I'm glad you like the final results!

Got a flat. Tires are 4 years old, replaced the rears beginning of the season. Decided to replace fronts.

Hoping to get a tune eventually, but amazed by this much increase in performance from a bolt-on item.

Took me all of 2.5 minutes. Name a sharper cosmetic mod for ~ $150!

Careful with the red S. I put one on my 987.2 Cayman, and the increase in HP is downright dangerous!
