Finally got around to ordering a few items for an upcoming oil change. Got the tools and then kits for two oil changes; $66 for a couple Mahle filters/rings and drain plugs from Pelican, $60 for 10 quarts of Mobil 1 A40 (for the upcoming change.)

The rest was tools: $120 for a pair of jackstands, $22 for an oil drain pan, $16 for chocks, $8 for a 36mm hex for the filter, and $8 for a VW/Audi drain plug tool because why not.

All in about $300, of which $175 was an investment. The next oil change will be just the oil cost since I bought a spare kit, but recurring the oil and filter change will run about $90 a shot.

At what $400? at my local dealer even I should be able to do this.

I have had mine for over ten years. Try mine before you buy. Really no issues with it.

I paid $386.19 a few weeks ago, just ridiculous. I am still under warranty so I bite the bullet since they do a 'multipoint checkup'--anything wrong now is under warranty and anything later I might be able to cry foul because they should have caught it.

Search YouTube, there's a good video on the oil change process.

Thanks for the shopping list!

Default 7mm Rear spacers

I already had 7mm in front, just added 7mm to the rear. Filled out nicely.

I have 7mms front & rear as well and while the fronts are still set in a little I think the stance is perfect now, at least on a 991.2 with Carrera S wheels.

Its not straight forward and its expensive, but it will all be worth the looks once done.

I have ACC, that I never use and want removed. Then I need the ducts. It was missing the lower lip which I bought brand new.

The bar was $5K, it cost $2k to ship to me, and $1K in duty and taxes. So it landed at my feet for $8K. Then it was $2K to paint. I had it all pulled apart and done like factory, inside and out.

The lower lip was $500. So I am at $10,500 AUD. I still need some ducts, to take air to the centre radiator which is $1,200 plus piping.

I should have it altogether and on in two weeks. The bar alone here without the 39 different pieces and unpainted is $9K AUd cost here. So they are expensive.

I am getting stripes as well. It will look similar to this.....but I also have PORSCHE down the side.

I agree. 7mm on both is near perfect for me.

Speaking of which the only time I turn on PSE in the neighborhood is when I pass by neighbors that give me issues.

I turn Sport mode on every time I start the car. I don't discriminate, I want everyone to dislike me equally.

On the issue of blowers, I use my gas-powered one (buy Stihl brand, they're great and have battery models as well, last for years) and blow the water off, out of the crevices, like the wheels, as well. Easy dry off. Just use ear protection as has been suggested. Not that expensive.
