OK, these little items are virtually free. I cut two pieces of foam from a kid's float tube to keep the wiper blades lifted off the windshield when parked in my garage.
What's the benefit? It keeps the wiper blade rubber from taking a set when bent on the windshield. So the blades will not need changing for a number of years. And i can clean the full windshield.
Now i don't have to worry about the wiper arm breaking or scraping the paint on the edge of the frunk lid if i forget I lifted the wiper arms full up and then open the frunk.
Many could care less, but i like them.

60,000 mile service... new brake fluid, new drive belt, new air & cabin filters. Also decided to do new PDK fluid as well, because 110K before servicing the PDK sounds insane to me.
Also put on some new Michelin PS4s tires, brake rotors & Centric pads.
Can't wait to put some miles on the new tires and see how the road noise is compared to the Nitto NT555 G2's that were on the car when I bought it...

I'll try it with pipe insulation, that way I can wrap them on the handle of the squeegee I keep in the frunk.

Its a good thing you are married since it might be hard picking up chicks with it on so if she does kick you out be sure to take it off when you are done moving.

Thank you!
My 991.1 TTS Cab was delivered a week ago, and I couldn’t be happier!
This thread has been tremendously helpful, and believe it or not I’ve read it from the very beginning! In the week that I’ve had my car I’ve installed:
Finally, thank you Elliott. I’d been looking for this car for >18 months, and I might still be looking if you hadn’t responded to my post earlier this month!
This thread has been tremendously helpful, and believe it or not I’ve read it from the very beginning! In the week that I’ve had my car I’ve installed:
- Smart Top controller - very easy install and a nice enhancement
- Ultimate cup holders. Let’s face it, the ones in the dash are useless for a tall drink, and I find myself taking my Yeti 30 with me everywhere.
- Rennline Magnetic phone mount. I like it so much I bought a similar one for my wife’s Qx80. At first she looked at me like “Why?” After I installed it she asked “Why did you wait so long to get me this?”
- Blendmount with mirror tap is on the way for my Escort Max 360c - which I decided on based on comments from a previous thread.
- Membership to PCA - I cant decide if I want to do a HPDE event with them or head down to Birmingham and do it on someone else’s car?
- I've also got a list of things I’m going to do (clear side markers, frunk bin), but I need to let my credit card rest for a couple weeks!
Finally, thank you Elliott. I’d been looking for this car for >18 months, and I might still be looking if you hadn’t responded to my post earlier this month!

^Trucheli, I don't think you meant to post the picture of the "True Glide".
