I placed an order on February 10th for a 2017 GT Silver Carrera 4S - http://www.porsche-code.com/PHMCSSX5. I should go status V250 this Friday. Current estimated vehicle completion is 4/22, exit Port Emden is 5/13 and arrival at the Port of San Diego on 6/10. I should have it in my garage sometime between the 17th and the 24th of June. I look forward to tracking it every step of the way.

I lost three RFT (Run Flat Tires) in a span of 6 weeks, just commuting to work, back in 2006 when I got my Bimmer. Ironically all three times it was the same rear wheel. The only silver lining, wheels were not damaged. Keeping that bad experience in mind, I bought the tire and wheel package you are mentioning for my new 991.2. I too live in an urban area (Atlanta GA).

Does anyone know if "Expected Dates" are normally met or "Planned Dates" have always be more realistic?

Don't know. I was too pissed at the time to ask my dealer because my initial V900 was for 5/6 and then I made a few minor changes on the build which pushed the dates out by 4 weeks.
Too scared to request any changes after that for fear of getting the car in December! Besides, my lock date was 4/1.

Hey, welcome to the craze! I just placed an order back in mid Feb. 2016. I just received an allocation slot last weekend. I was told it was for a June build and July delivery. Note that My order is for a Targa and Targa's and Turbo allocations are fewer than C2, C4, and Cabs. Every dealer has its own allocation slots given to them by Porsche. Try shopping around and asking dealers when there inventory is coming in or if they have new allocations for immediate builds. Hope this helps.

I was told something similar to jackippo. My freeze date is May 9th, build is supposed to be in June, delivery in late July. That's for a base Carrera coupe.

With you being no the East Coast that may be a possibility. It seems my car took almost a month to get from Jacksonville, FL to San Diego CA.
