Agreed! I just saw that the base model was referred to as the "poverty" model 911 and thought that was a fun and interesting moniker. I watched all the 991.2 videos out there in the interwebs, drove most models at the dealership, and the final choice was the base model. Decided that it was more than enough power for me. On top of that, I could throw the extra funds into options that I really wanted. Went from a Cayman to a Cayman S, now a 991.2 C2. Baby steps

LOL!!!! A 911 as a poverty car! Too funny. I think you could buy about 5 Honda's for the price of a stripped 911.

After watching Randy Pobst's review of the C2, there really isn't anything more to say.

So how long has everyone's Porsche sat at the port in Germany?
Mine arrived in Emden on 1/26, and as of today it is still there. I checked some sailing schedules and at least 3 vessels have left for Davisville since then, only to leave my new car back in Emden. I also monitored MarineTraffic and saw those 3 other vessels load up and sail.
I can't figure out how this works...just wondering what everyone's experience has been.

Very strange that it still hasn't left port. Mine was at emden for about 6 days and it got on the next ship set for davisville. I'm not sure of the logistics and I'm not really sure the dealerships have a good grasp on how it works.

My car arrived in davisville on 2/7 and is still not at the dealership. It's only about an hour and a half drive. I have to assume that it's the weather but I have heard stories that cars stuck at the processing center for extended periods of time are there for damage from the voyage. I really hope that is not the case

Ditto, me as well. We'll be on the ship Goodwood I believe. Still ahead of original schedule, which is a beautiful thing. I'm in Tampa, where are you taking delivery?
