Wish I would have seen this before I finalized Viper. Not 100% sure I would have changed, but it looks so much better than the only other picture I saw of Olive.
Congrats!

Now going on day #11 with the car sitting at the distribution center in Davisville RI. Something is fishy and I suspect damage to the car. The dealership is still blaming it on the snow storm from February 8th. I understand that bad weather can cause some delays but were going on two weeks. Any advice or thoughts?

Sorry to hear, mine is still in Emden (22 days and counting). I dread the thought of damage occuring at either port. Not sure if there could be any correlation between both of our cars sitting at one side of the pond. I did notice one of the ships cruising in circles for a day or two before turning off location updates. I thought, maybe mechanical issues and they had to reshuffle all transports. Again, I'm just making sh*t up at this point since nobody can tell me what's going on.

Think that this is normal variation to distribution. . unfortunately.
Sit in Emden or immediately get on a boat; sit in port waiting for PDI or PDI right away. Very frustrating. . I lost 3 weeks in Emden

Tracking the GoodWood - ship that is supposed to leave Emden today. It was late arriving . . so I think that the Jax arrival on 3/3 may slip.
We live on Amelia Island, and was hoping to have for the Concours on March 12.
Looking a bit dubious at the moment. .
Cheers all. . we are hanging on together!!

Yup, tracking the Goodwood here too (will ping the dealer for a status update when I see it set sail).

I watched it being tugged in last night in real-time. It's a bit obsessive.

So just got off the phone with my SA. It seems that all 911 models that have recently come into port at Davisville are all being held for an unknown reason. Not a single one has been released in the last 1-2 weeks. All other Porsche models have been shipping out in a quick and timely manner. The GM also made a call to processing and can assure me with 100% certainty that my car is completely fine without any damage, which does make me feel a little better.

I wonder what the hold up can be?

Maybe some sort of regulatory/EPA thing? But one would think that would be a country wide issue. There have not been a lot of RL USA deliveries in the past two weeks. At least not that I have noticed.

Good Luck, I hope whatever it is gets cleared up very quickly.

Nice, sensible build. Congratulations. You'll enjoy the manual transmission. Plain sports mirrors is the only thing I'd recommend adding; I have it, it makes the car stand out beautifully.

You are not alone! I wonder how many of us are doing the same.... mine is also supposed to be on this vessel. Arrival in JAX on 3/3 (hopefully), then guessing a few days to hit dealer based on what I've seen of others in the thread from this location.

The (sadistically) humorous part.... I think mine hits the dealer while I'm at PEC in ATL for a weekend with some friends driving their Turbo/GT3's.... will be an awesome weekend, but will be painful knowing mine is so close but yet so far away!

Unfortunately, Panamera's are also being held at the ports (all ports of entry). Not a single customer car has made it into the US yet. Some of the cars have been sitting there since early January. In the case of the Panamera, the EPA (or CARB, depending on who is talking) has not yet issued the Certification for Sale. Now it seems that they may have put a hold on 911's as well. I do not know what is going on between Porsche (or VWAG) and the EPA, but I smell trouble.
