Sapphire blue saves the look a bit. Rear still looks terrible

They already tried that in the ' 70s . The 928 was produced to completely replace the by then antiquated ( even by the late ' 70s standards ) 911 , the latter to be phased out completely by the early '80s due to looming emissions and safety changes.

We know how THAT worked out !

Some time within the next two to three decades , there will be only one non- full autonomous car left on the planet ..I think I know which model that will be : the " Cockroach " descended from the " Beetle " ..and I mean that in the most admiringly respectful way !

[QUOTE=STG991;12526574]New facelifted real "turbo" model and Targa. These cars have been spotted, but a few new angles. The black rear grill looks hideous on the Targa along with the new look not complimenting it well.

As far as the real "Turbo S" model. I think an improvement from the current one for sure.

I personally think the 991.2 Turbo S will look BETTER than the 991.2 Carrera S/GTS/etc... Seems like it from the pics. The exhaust location and pipes definitely look better!

Geez, if they're all going to be Turbos, might as well get the original Turbo.

I was surprised to hear these may be shown in Frankfurt too in September.

The new front end on the Targa (looks to be identical to the carrera) really doesn't work for me, especially in white..

The TT is looking great. The hips look to be more chiseled, and the newer intercooler vents work well. Exciting stuff !

The rear grille on the Targa looks ok (though not as good-looking at the rear on the 991) - and I love the red roof option.

Not sure when deliveries will start in earnest (and forgive me is this has been covered), but I just saw one on the road (the 405 north) here in L.A. Great to see one in the wild.

yup cbweaver1 and I caught a fleet of factory Panamera's being led by a .2 S a few weeks back in Saratoga... clearly on testing exercise as they seem to do
these regularly in the bay area just before product launch, I recall back in 2012
heading back to work in SF and nearly dropping my coffee in an effort to get
my phone out in order to take pictures of the 4 991 GT3s sitting at the traffic lights on the Embarcadero ... literally weeks before their launch.

GT3's before the launch? That would've been a sight to see!

it was! - sadly I wasn't able to get my phone out in time much to the relief of the drivers who smiled as they pulled away from the lights!

I know the feeling. I was scrambling to get my phone out yesterday... Not a good idea on a freeway.

The Targa in the sky shots is missing the wide light of the current Targa 4... does this mean a 2 wheel drive Targa?

There are other close-up shots of this car which shows that the centre light has been taped over with white tape.
