That sounds right. But man that car road rough that I had. Even in the soft suspension setting. Thanks for the info.

Base model Carrera 991.2 new pics:

http://www.inautonews.com/spied-porsche-911-facelift

The base of the shifter has the "911" logo only, hence base model.

Base will have wider exhaust while the S models will have the center ones.

This car needs SPASM! Looks like a 4x4

These wheels are most likely replacing the Carrera S ones I assume?

Tail lights just have thin film covering them. Contoured lights.

Shiny car! Ha ha. New color for a test car.

No PSE or SC on this one

Pirellis! Who knows if they'll continue. I'd bet yes.

Best shot yet

What makes you say its base and not S? The brake calipers are red, isn't that an S "thing"?

Not feeling the vertical back grill, maybe it gives better flow to intercoolers and that thing is hiked up, it's like the anti Spasm .

Other than that, all clues point to a base model. Some S models pictured have had the Turbo/GT3 sized ceramic brakes too. Either all for testing purposes, or an upgrade coming on all models? Not that the S will come with ceramics as standard, but maybe the bigger version if ordered?

Don't have a definite answer. Looks like a base model with current S model red calipers.

Heavier 991.2? Upgraded brakes? Not sure

First public showing of new 991.2 at the unveiling of the 911 sculpture in Stuttgart. Full details on the car can't be too far away now.

Saw the video on periscope yesterday, but like your photo it was too far away to see much. When the car drove off the taillight LED looked like the current ones - for the brief second I saw it - it wasn't 4 separate little lights, or at least didn't look to be. Maybe a Stuttgart-area Rennlister can get zoom in on the sculpture and get some better shots of exhaust!

I bet the four lights will be the brake lights. Hopefully they will keep the surrounding LED outline.

Also looks like CF buckets in the pics. Possible option? Doubtful I would think?

So far in the all the spy photos, we have seen 3 different exhaust configurations. I must say that I am very curious about how these map to the various models and their engines.

Most of the spy photos to date have shown cars with the new centre exhaust layout while a small number of other photos have shown cars with the existing dual side exhaust. Then there is the cabriolet showing what looks like an existing base exhaust layout.

Interesting comments on the Worldcarfans post: "The central exhaust is for the sports exhaust system. Standard exhausts are twin square pipes on the Carrera/4/Targa 4 models with twin dual-tube circles on the S models." - Not sure if that's accurate but, according to the pics, not all models are getting the central exhausts.

my guess is that the 'S' has the ctr exhaust, the base model the dual tips, the cabriolet is a much earlier mule, and seems to have dual tips in a different style, but is probably just the base exhaust with different tips as opposed to a completely different system entirely.
