HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991

I was curious what you guys think of these two cars...
...I don’t like either color car, the first has sunroof which I don’t care for. The second is a GTS but at $110k I could get a brand new 911T optioned exactly like I want. I understand it’s a GTS which makes it special but I’m not sure I’d ever get that color and three owners has me worried, the color is really out there.

Personally I love bright colors and will never consider a 911 in anything else.
The Mint Green is awesome and was on my radar at the time I bought the GTS. If you plan on keeping the car for a long time, use the color as a negotiating advantage as 10+ years from now it won't matter much....
I was was curious what the respective MSRP would have been on those two cars.

WP0AB2A98GS123437 Mint Green 2016 GTS: $132,485 MSRP
Wow, 991 prices are hitting 997.2 price levels now. This was a score: Base 2013, Aerokit, the best stock color IMO (Aqua blue), PSE, 34k miles, manual, $61,000.
A 2011 997.2 C2S with PDK and similar options would sell at more than that. I suppose it isn't apples to apples: a 997.2 C2S is not exactly a 991 base, but they aren't far apart in performance. 991 is probably faster at the track, 997.2 faster in a straight line, but having driven both, I wouldn't have seen that coming. I suppose the 997.2 is REALLY desirable in the current market.

Re: 997.2 S prices vs 991.1 base prices. It's hard to get a universal idea from just two examples. There are 991.1 cars that are asking higher prices than 991.2 used cars as well. Both 991.1 and 997.2 911's have special novelties that will render them future classics in their own rights (991 the most advanced and technically best N/A Carreras in history, with the 997 the last and most modern of the more raw and analogue shorter wheelbase 911's). Both I think will continue to perform well on the used market, especially as time goes on. Performance doesn't dictate much in the used market, it's mostly about driver engagement and feel. 991.1 base cars are definitely faster than 997.2 S's, and in at least one magazine, a 991.1 base (probably with launch control) put up a better time than a 997.2 GTS (and as you pointed out, it'll do even better on track). But what will really determine these cars' future recognitions is how joyous they are to drive in the face of all these new FI/EV/etc. tech-forward cars. In that sense, both will fare well. But the 997 will always be highly regarded due to its mix of rudimentary rawness and modernity.

The 2013 BASE model is a $103K build with 34K miles. $61K is about going rate.
Manual with SC and Aerokit Cup are nice. DOES NOT have the original 20" SPORT TECHNO OEM wheels though. Looks like 19" wheels on there. Rotors look like worn too. Pads probably not better.
But yes .. quite an overlap in $$ with many 997.2 and 991.1 assorted models.

I don’t like either color car, the first has sunroof which I don’t care for. The second is a GTS but at $110k I could get a brand new 911T optioned exactly like I want. I understand it’s a GTS which makes it special but I’m not sure I’d ever get that color and three owners has me worried, the color is really out there.

From the looks of those 2 cars... it appears you're not sure what you want. The "good' cars sell quick. Decide what you want and be prepared to execute when you find one.

I noticed the lack of Sport Technos however. Maybe it had winter wheels installed, as the ad said it had sport technos.

So you get a PPI like any prudent buyer should/would and negotiate accordingly.... With all the $ you save replace whatever is 'trashed' or leave it as is since it can't been seen and laugh all the way to the bank.
