Anybody know if CPO warranty transfers through dealers or Carmax at all?

How does PCNA know if a vehicle was sold/touched by another dealer?

I'm hearing 2 different things;

If a CPO'd vehicle is touched/serviced by another deal, that CPO is now void.

If a CPO'd vehicle is traded in or bought by another dealer like Carmax but only eyeballed and not touched. The CPO is still valid.

Transfers through Porsche dealers and private sales.

Thru any dealer, it’s technically VOID. Touched or not touched. If shown as sold thru them, it’s void. Touching, whatever that means has no effect on any outcome.

In short, warranty is void as soon as it is traded in to Carmax. Some new owners have had Porsche provide CPO warranty service anyway, but that is likely either because the new owner didn't come clean on the purchase and the dealer didn't have big enough warranty expenses to check carfax. These days it is not hard to see when a particular VIN went through a used car dealer.

This has been debated over many threads, but another rennlister posted this pretty definitive image of the actual contract language.

From the bold in black near the top of the image:

"...IF THIS VEHICLE IS TRADED TO A NON AUTHORIZED PORSCHE DEALER, THE CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED LIMITED WARRANTY IS VOID"
