First post. Fantastic thread. So I had someone out of the blue buy my car this week. It wasn't even for sale, but he was willing to pay me enough to make it worth my while. So I decided it was time for me to get my first Porsche, and I've narrowed it down to a 991.1. I'm leaning towards a Carrera 4s, but if the right Carrera S came along I would get it. I know I want PDK, sport steering wheel, sport PASM, and sport chrono. I think I would also like sport exhaust, PDCC, PCCB, and aerocup kit. But I'm not sure any of the later are deal breakers. Pretty open to colors, but don't think I could do the red or yacht blue interiors. Was curious if anyone had any recommendations for a noob on cars or options I should look for or stay away from?

Welcome!

If you're looking for a 991.1 C4S in black, look a few posts above.

Leather door panels are between $2400-3000 (the latter for alcantara + carbon fiber), and that doesn't give you the handle and whatever else is different just about the door.

It might be a different matter if you have a donor car.

Is it just me, or does that look like it's been wrapped? The paint looks matte/flat, so it's either wrapped in that color, or perhaps with Xpel Stealth, which is a matte clear PPF/wrap material.

No additional pics up, either. Wonder what the PTS color is on it? (Or if the PTS color is hiding under that...)

The suspense was killing me. Put a call in, and getting some info soon. It is a matte wrap and showing the paint to sample color through it.

He said they may be removing the wrap.

^^^ Curious how long the wrap has been on for? A risk buying not being able to inspect paint underneath, take paint meter, or check for razor marks. They'd be best removing it at the dealer.

Isn't that xpel stealth ppf? It would be similar to buying a car with the entire car covered in clear bra- no?

I love the look.

So what is the premium for the larger engine? is it better than a 3.8 with powerkit?!

It must be a default - did the same thing to my last for sale listing automatically
