Think it's been about 6 or 7 more shared P cars and a bunch of individual cars as well. We should write a book!
Anyway, I hope to join you and the other faithful 991 owners very soon. PPI and finalization on my HFS is scheduled for later this coming week. Stay tuned.....
Meanwhile, enjoy your latest greatest Porsche!

Well........Gus with Reliable Transport rolled in to north Florida at 8:30 PM this past Friday night and delivered my new C2S! It was featured here on HFS, but I actually saw it and fell for it when it was first listed for sale back in 2013 here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...o-pse-etc.html
Sad situation and I had just bought my 2007 997.1 Cobalt Blue Aerokit S Coupe. But damn, I liked that car, and I have always loved yellow cars!
Then in January of this year (after the 997 and a nice Cayman S), I decided I wanted back in a 911, specifically an S Coupe, less than 20K miles, with PSE, SC, SPASM, (Ideally a manual), and some lux features. Also, per the boss's desires, no silver, gray, black exteriors. So the hunt was on!
Searching RL classifieds, PCA, Autotrader, ebay, cars.com, PCNA SearchAgent, and others, I found tons of cars, but not many that hit the ideal sweet spot. But then, back in a listing from August 2016, look what I found!
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...carrera-s.html
Now it was available again, and I was ready! emails and calls ensued, due diligence with servicing dealer and independent shop, and decision was made to use FF and hotel points to do a 36 hour whirlwind trip from Florida to the Seattle area to inspect, test drive (60 miles, and even with PDK I was hooked), and do a PPI. On 1-2 March, that happened and the result was a GO!
Arranged shipping with Reliable and I could not have been happier with how they handled things. Expensive yes, but first class all the way, no issues, "one on, one off" loading and delivery on the exact day they promised. Tried InterCity, but they don't do the NW to SE diagonal run.
So today, I detailed her (not much needed, she was pretty much perfect off the truck), and my wife and I celebrated our new arrival (our 23rd Porsche in 50 years as of this June) with a lovely spring drive and dinner in our local community of Fernandina Beach. What a great start to our next adventure with Porsche, PCA, and the wonderful community of Porsche people.
Here are some pics.

Thanks all for the warm good wishes and for your support. More than a few HFS "veterans" were helpful in our searches and the results were well worth it.
For any RY fans, I think the C4S Coupe at Porsche North Houston is still available. That was second in line for me, but I wanted a C2 and the price was a bit more than where I wanted to be "all in". Seems a great build and it has great options (other than full leather).

No regrets so far, "lovin" it, haha. Good luck on yours, let's see it when it's home.

Yes! Welcome, RY brother! So awesome you got this car! I remember seeing this car in the RL Classifieds. I would have totally picked this up if it had been 7MT! Glad it found a home!

Looking forward to the story!
It'd be so awesome if someone could photoshop and stitch together all of the HFS RYs into a photo. I feel like there's only a handful of them!

Any thoughts on this GTS? Private seller is asking $98500. It looks like a bare bones build but would work for me. The only thing is that I was trying to avoid another silver car.

Thanks for the great comments on our "twin" 991"s, or as we like to call them Ketchup and Mustard!
We are very fortunate to have lived the Porsche dream for 50 years, from the Polo Red 912 in 1967 to today's 991's. Along the way there has been PCA Region events, Parades, Stuttgart visits, DE events, DE Instructors, Club Racing and many great friendships.
When I bought the 991 in February, Hennessy Porsche had the 7 generations of 911's wall art in their showroom, showing the models from first 1965 through 991 in 2012. I realized then, as I was getting the key to my 991, I now have owned a 911 from each member of the family tree....either I am old, or very lucky!
