Interesting story with this car. It was mine for a short time... by short time I mean 1 week. Carvana had this for sale a little over a year ago at $45,000 if I remember correctly. With their 7 day buyback I couldn't pass it up and pounced. The carfax lists it as clean, but in my opinion and the opinion of the Porsche tech that looked at it, it has been hit. The alignment of the hood which you can see from panel gaps in person. So much so that it cannot be adjusted "straight." The bumper has been resprayed and not color matched particularly well. You can definitely see the badge alignment is off.
  • When bumper was taken on/off at some point they took a grinder to the bolt because they didn't have the right drive...
  • Forgot to take the tape off after painting...
  • Lights just put in with double sided tape.
  • Oil pan stripped out leaking badly.
  • Info/climate buttons sticky to the point of not working
It says it was taken to Porsche recently. When I had an inspection done they quoted just over 10k to get it back up to spec. Basically all maintenance had been ignored other than oil changes. The brakes were "the cheapest possible Chinese brakes you can make fit the car." It hadn't had any of the normal service (PDCC, PDK, etc) done. Basically it had just been oil changes and air filters.

The "Porsche" logo alignment on the rear bumper cover is a dead giveaway that everything isn't on the up and up with that car.

If that is an indicator one should be screaming while running away from this car.

Holy cow that is an abomination! Looks like someone gave a 6yr old the decals and left him to use his imagination.

I looked at that one. I assumed it was an error with the pictures they took. But when looking at it again.....

https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AB2A91DS122190/

Been in the market for a 991 for a while. This is a great build but the car has higher mileage (50k~) and service history is a question mark for the past few years. Worth high 70s?

Then there's this base with almost every good option possible for 75k and around 25k miles
https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AA2A96DS107011/

Sort of a tough call for me.

50K miles is really not high (I am almost there). How much do you drive a year? I f you put 10K miles on it a year (like I do), you’ll hit 100K in five years. If you drive 5K or less it will take a while. The 4S is great - I would take one over a base any time!

Agreed. That car is 9 years old, so averaging 5,500 to 5,900 miles per year only. My car is 4 years old and has over 39,000 miles on it already, despite the pandemic. These cars are generally well built and designed to be driven & enjoyed.
