My bad. I misunderstood my SA.

Hope this info is enough to get some good feedback. Looking at a 2017 Turbo S with about 11k miles and the following specs - wondering about the price of $170k on a claimed MSRP of $223k (plus additional options listed at the bottom):
  • Aerokit Turbo
  • Paint to Sample Exterior
  • Burmester Surround Sound System
  • Front Axle Lift System
  • Power Sunroof
  • Dashboard Trim in Leather
  • Door Sill Guards in Illuminated Carbon Fiber
  • Porsche Entry and Drive
  • Instrument Dials in Racing Yellow
  • Lane Change Assist
  • Front Seat Ventilation
  • Door Panels in Leather
  • PDLS+ LED Headlights in Black
  • Painted Rear Air Side Intakes
  • Light Design Package
  • Sun Visors in Alcantara
  • Belt Outlet Trim in Alcantara
  • Porsche Crests on Headrests
  • Power Steering Plus

Additional Options - how well do these add-ons typically hold their value or impact resale price?
  • Ceramic coating
  • Aftermarket exhaust

What's a fair range for this car? Seems like many other models are listing for about 69-74% of MSRP, which would put this one around $158k before the ceramic and exhaust (if they matter).

TIA for responses

Is it at a dealer? Extended warranty or CPO?

Exotics dealer, not Porsche dealer..so no CPO. It would look a little better if it were CPO. I would have to add an extended warranty.

I say they are price on the high side but if you like the car it costs you nothing to make an offer.

Yeah, I’m just trying to figure out what a fair starting offer might be. Of course, the various books are all over the map (and I don’t know how to factor in Ceramic coating and Exhaust):
  • KBB = $149k
  • Edmunds = $154k
  • NADA = $164k

Any experience on how much the aftermarket stuff should normally command vs original retail?

If they are not giving you the stock exhaust then don't add anything for the aftermarket, and you can tell them that you would prefer it be original, and the ceramic coating usually costs about $1-2k retail. I don't see them dropping that much but you can try $160k. How long have they had it? And most importantly, what is it worth to you?

Is anyone familiar with this car? It has been for sale for a while, which is not a good sign.

@Bob Z. good point about the factory exhaust. I'll factor that into my discussion when we get to price. Interesting about the ceramic coating...they say it's a Modesta coating and valued it at $10k!!...I thought that seemed way high. Plus, having the ceramic already applied complicates the application of a PPF, which I'd want to have installed. Based on the Carfax, it looks like they took possession about a week ago, so it hasn't been listed long.

I'm trying to figure out how much it would be worth to me relative to other options. I wasn't really looking at Turbo S models...it's actually my dream car, but I'd basically decided to stay around $100k for a GTS or 4S. This one caught my eye and got me thinking about upping my planned spend if I can get a good deal compared to other comparable cars. Have to decide whether I want to throw another $60k at it or stay the course as originally planned.

An extra $60k over budget it a lot so it may be best to stick with the original plan and look at a Turbo S in a few years, when the cost will be lower. You can Google the cost of ceramic coatings but anyone can apply it so it is always best to shop the installer! In this case you do not know who did it but I would ask along with how long ago it was done since it does not last forever, if you decide to pursue it of course.

How about looking at Turbos? Cheap iron brakes, may have easier 5-lug wheels instead of C/L's, 40 hp. less but you'll never notice and a bunch less money.

Not all GTS cars have CLs since many were optioned with the 5 lugs (like mine) so they are out there.

I've been casually looking at 991s (I currently have a Panamera 4S, and may consider a 991 4S later this year). Maybe not a "hot" deal, but this seems like a good build and price (and it's CPO). This dealer doesn't have the best presentation with their photos, which bugs me for some reason:

They are crazy. It’s $2k for the high end coatings and a full 4 level paint correction here in Houston at a reputable shop. Not sure I could even talk to that person with a straight face if they told me that.

They polished it with liquid clear gold with activated charcoal.
