There have been several on here that were pretty nice that I might have considered, maybe some of the GTS's or a loaded C4S, etc. One poster here scored a fantastic deal on a loaded 991S (with PCCBs!) at CARMAX and then flipped it.
Truthfully, there was one single, rare option that I was looking for in a 911 that I did not have on my previous 991S...the fact that the one I found had a ton of other stuff in addition to this option absolutely pushed me over the edge, though, and made it a very special car. And that single option I greatly desired would not be what you would have expected or guessed...(and no, it wasn't PSP! Had that on my previous 991S!)
Still haven't found one nicer (even GTS's) that I would have preferred over this one, though. I think it would have to be a loaded Club Coupe (which would never be a HFS price) to turn my eye. Or a super loaded Sapphire blue coupe with a black interior...that color moves me LOL.
You will find that special 991S - they are out there!

If they have to try so hard ......

I guess I'll gladly wear the "purist" badge
Geez, after seeing that Fashion Grey Ducktail, I found myself thinking wouldn't it be nice to have two 991.1's?? Would like a GTS someday. Would have to be the right build.
The searches have been coming up very dry this past week. If winter is this bad, imagine spring I'm on the lookout though!

Hello all!!
I'm getting interested in a car that is local to me and wanted to tap the knowledge base here for any opinions.
The car is at Hendrick Chevy in Cary NC despite a Hendrick Porsche dealer being a few miles away.
http://www.hendrickchevrolet.com/use...AB2A93CS121086
2012.5 Silver C2S with 9,700 miles. $117,545 build with most of the desired options except PSE. Two owners, first was almost a 3 year lease and the second owned it for about a year. Clean carfax. $73,000 asking price. The day after test driving it, I offered $67,500 (plus about $800 in dealer fees). They called back with $70,500.
The car has been on the lot for about a month and looks like it has months worth of leaves and pine needles in every external nook and cranny but looks like it was well taken care of before that. Maybe half a dozen small stone chips on front bumper. Paint blemish about the size of a stone chip near the clear turn signal light (probably from changing it out). But it looked to be in good condition under all the dirt and leaves. There is very minor corrosion on some of the fasteners likely from sitting outside on the dealer lot.
I believe it was CPO'd in the past (has a faded CPO sticker in door jam) but I can't count on that surviving the dealer sale. They did offer a "Hendrick Certification" for 1 year bumper to bumper warranty and another 5 years power train. Since Hendrick has a Porsche dealership that dealer warranty might be nice.
Using the "Depreciation table" from another thread it shows a 5 year old car should be 54% of new price which is $63,474. The table allows an added 5% for only 5,000 miles a year so if I assume 2,000 mile a year is worth 6.5%, that would be $67,600.
This car is near what I want. I especially like the color and wheels. I wouldn't mind waiting a few more months and finding something with the SD steering wheel, PSE and maybe some more leather that hasn't spent a month or more in the rain for a few more $$$ but I don't want to spend much over $75k.
Sooooo.... What does the HFS brain trust think would be a good deal for the car?
Thanks,
Greg
