I think we might have been going after the same car! Here's my pick up from today. Thanks to STG and this forum for the endless advice!!! It really armed with all that I needed to make an educated purchase.
Audi Denver is about 15 minutes away from me if anyone is considering purchase wants a set of eyes on it. I also know the sales manger there, I was just emailing with him about ordering a new 2018 Q5 to replace my wife's 2014.
Personally, I think $73,500 is a very high ask for a 2012.5, even with the nice build and low miles. No remaining factory warranty, no CPO. $5K-$7K away from a HOT FS deal?
It looks like this car was sold and serviced at Stevinson Porsche, they generally do a very good job and at least one of their mechanics (Chance) is world-class. Just a mile or so away from Audi Denver, though different owners.
If it was a manual with this build, I'd at least make them an offer myself just because it's a local car (which they likely wouldn't take), but I'm still holding out for the perfect car for me at an HFS price.
Doesn't seem a high asking price at all...even for a 2012.5. The car has under 9k miles and is just loaded with equipment. I'd imagine they'll negotiate but I think even at the listed price it's a bargain. 2012.5 S models are selling for $65k and up in general...and a low mileage, high-equipment mode like that is a fantastic value IMO.

Agate Gray is an awesome color and goes with so many interior colors. Having said that, the light gray interior is not my favorite. But all in all, a very good looking 911.

That's probably the same car. I was ready to fly if you bailed... why couldn't you have stuck to your dreams of a manual. PPI at McKenna? How were they?
Seriously though... Congrats man! Cross-country private sales have challenges.
This is what you get with an open transport. The second photo is what you can end up with but only after some $$$ spent on detailing. Don't ship open transport over any longer distance if possible.
Before $$$
After you spend all the $$ you saved by using open transport. And then some.

I'm new to the site but this looks like and awesome thread to help identify my first 911. Looking for a well optioned 991 4S in blue by the way.
On the CPO pass through at dealerships, I called Porsche NA last year when I bought my Panamera TUrbo. They indicated the CPO does not pass through if going through a non-porsche dealership. In my experience, I've purchased 2 previously CPO'd cars from friends who wanted to pass through sell to me and apply the tax credit to their new car at the Porsche dealership. The 2 different dealerships charged me $600 in one case and $2K in the other to "re-certify" and ensure the integrity of the CPO.

Did that last part restart a 2-year period for CPO?
I saw this nice GTS from Top Gear Imports. I live 1.5 hours away so I could go check out the car myself. I read some mixed reviews for Top Gear Imports, but I couldn't help but to look at beautiful GTS: http://showroom.auction123.com/topge...ar_imports_llc
I called the dealer who said the car is immaculate and without an accident history. It is however a 2 owner vehicle. I hope to get the CarFax from Aret and have a PPI. The car fits my budget (~100k).

Why it's better to ask for advice .... Here's your HFSfax ..
The car was for sale a year ago here.
6K miles and $95K
Another U-turn ahead? Between these two, would rather have the cab you were looking at. Needless to say, the GTS has been through 2 owners (not huge deal in itself, but .... ) and has been "broken in". Can't imagine how many over-revs it has?
Just making the info available for a well informed purchase. Choice is yours.
It didn't restart the warranty as I was still within the factory warranty timeframe. My local dealership said they would pass through a CPO car without charge if I signed off on any incoming inspection items that didn't meet the CPO criteria. However the other dealerships I purchased from said they were required to perform any repair or maintenance work to bring up to the CPO standard for them to sell the car to me as CPO. Those charges were passed on to me.

thank you! I learned that I had to move quick if I found something I liked. Member, Quadry, beat me to a nice white C4S in Colorado Springs.
you were the East Coast guy, right?
I wanted a manual, but this checked all the other requirements for me, so I gave up on the manual dream.
yes, PPI at McKenna. They were expensive ($450), but due to timing and convenience, I just had it done there. There was an indy I would have preferred, but they were booked solid.
