Lol.

Leave it to Chuck & Mondrian to start what's a proper woman's driving position inside a 991 C2 haters thread. Actually I thought Mondrian you'd leave that up to Lex! That's another reason I love reading Rennlist. It's not all supposed to be about the info sharing but the entertainment.

This isn't China (thank God) so if a guy who bought a 911 & changed his mind about it and calls it a snore inside a Porsche enthusiasts forum who really cares? He's entitled to his opinion. I for one bought the first 911 I can actually drive on a daily basis in this big, grey metropolis of a city called Los Angeles with all it's traffic and pot holes and truly say "I love this car!"

Now back to the why women drive with their faces 3 inches from the steering wheel!

And why oh why do they always raise the seat to its highest position, I mean hello - what about CG, you're supposed to get that booty as low as possible in such an engineering marvel, its a Porsche not Sealy.

I do this myself (5'11, male). The trend towards higher beltlines in cars over the last 20 years annoys me, along with their worse visibility in general, and I like to see out.

This actually is the main thing about the 911 that I wish they hadn't lost over the years. Don't mind the size, pretty much love everything else. But its a shame they had to lose that "flying" feeling you get with the earlier 911's being able to look right down on the road. And far be it from me to help get a thread back on track, but if there's one thing that really helps a car not be boring its seeing the road up close like that.

Don't forget that a woman's lower upper body strength combined with greater booty mass results in inherently lower cg.

There now we are properly off-track again, nature's balance restored.

Now there is a fact that more than makes up for your bad judgement in cars. Based on that pic, she can sit wherever she wants!

To each their own.

My wife sits straight up like that a few inches from the steering wheel. We all make fun of her all the time!

She doesn't drive my 911 though.

I did say as low as possible & not as low as the seat goes - you gotta be able to see out the window.

Sounds like you do most of your driving in the city where you need to look down on the road, at speed I need to look up the road.

Most of the one's with "greater booty mass" are also blessed with additional mass on top &/or a big head and they all have small feet & longer legs making them top heavy.

Ok, to each their own.

The picture of the brunette raises the question of what her daily driver is and if the OP likes it better than his 991.

My favorite comment from this test;

Zzzzzzzzzz... big shocker. Why'd I even read this story. Sure, the 911 is arguably the "best" car, yadda yadda.. There's just no way it can win every contest every time for so many decades without someone else with billions of dollars to throw at a competitive car being able to dethrone this thing.

You should quickly get rid of it before you lose any more of deprecation.

Having been a long time Porsche owner since 1978 and owning and selling a 991 I can concur with the OP. The 911 has become a bit boring and main stream. I sold it and bought a Rossion Q1. Not as comfortable and plush as the 911 but makes me grin and feel alive every time I fire it up and no the wife won't drive it as it scares her!
