I think its possible. With the older pre-DFI cars I would even say its likely. With DFI, I'm sure the same sort of thing happens, just not sure its bad enough anyone would notice.

You are probably onto something, in that a lot of the stumbles are cars that were babied. Maybe all. Hard to say. There have been quite a few people who had this problem tracked down to software or sensors and taken care of. What you said about Europe sure is interesting though. I'd encourage you to post it but of course it will do no good. The guys following the factory don't even seem to care that ever since that post from the ED guy we know for sure the factory is blowing pure BS. Not one of them has reconsidered anything as far as I can tell. If they won't believe it when it comes straight from the factory, what are the odds they'll care if you say "they don't have this problem in Europe"? I'd say slim... to none!

    But thanks for the insight!

Hey man, been on this forum for a couple of month... Filling time, learning.. Just killing time till my car arrives..

    I like what you write...

I see you are an advocate of the drive it from new... Which I agree with too.

But I have not seen anyone link the 2000km running in with the engine stumble at 2500 rpm to 3000rpm..
To me it seems there is a connection. We don't "have" to run them in in Europe and we don't have an issue. All this pampering of US cars maybe something to do with it..

    What do you think?
