I'm thinking of them too - on my Platinum Silver 991.

High strength steel will replace aluminum in the next 5-10 yrs. It is lighter and stronger. Aluminum is for cans...

Does anything have to be removed to put these on (clear stone guard etc)?

Thanks

Rich...We have 997 customers that have kept their clear guards on and simply installed these over the top. So far, we have not received a single report of a lost guard.

We have had customers that discovered hidden bodywork that they were unaware of. It is important that if you have a car that has been re-painted to check adhesion using a refrigerator magnet.

Thanks,
Dan

They are a factory option (ordering code black=CAS, grey=CAT) so maybe check with your dealer?

Just received mine the other day. They hold well and are nicely made, cool product. Dan is very responsive and was happy to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend purchasing from them.

Ok. Few days after receiving the WHITE Stone guards. I decided to just put them on.
Two things I noticed.

1. Color is off. But after awhile, I don't mind it and actually like it. But for anyone that is thinking about matching color to the car. It will not be close for you to not tell the difference.
Although it is thinner than those business card magnets out there, it is still pretty thick compare to the OEM clear film guard. So if it is applied on lighter color cars, you will be able to see the black edge due to the magnet material.

Overall, I think it is a good product. Easy to apply. Sticks to the car. It does it's job to protect the fender.

Mod...you're ride is bad to the bone. You've done an outstanding job tying in the black.

I really appreciate the posting and the positive feedback.

YXC...I'd love to see what the white looks like on your car. Color matching is not easy when you are mixing media...paint vs. ink. GP white is much easier to match.

I am glad you like the end result. Thanks for the shout out.

Dan
