Default speaking of martini

Tom...thanks for the shout out. I appreciate it.

We can make the stone guards to suit your taste. We can color match. Although it can be tricky with certain colors. White would not be too difficult.

We also make a Martini style that is not in our catalogue yet. See photo. Might be cool in the 918 Spyder monochromatic as well. We made these top stripes for a happy customer last week.

Couple of questions ... how exact was the fitment of the magnetic guard over the existing plastic one?

Secondly, the maker has said it's a good idea to remove the magnetic ones if the car gets wet, something about the edges. I'm not sure if that's an issue if the guard is placed over the original clear guard or if it's on bare paint.
The magnetic guard is smaller than the factory clear guard. I removed the clear guards (from my experience they yellow quickly and collect dirt along the edges), used Goo-gone to remove the residue adhesive from the clear guards, got the entire area clean and dry and slapped on the magnetic guards.

I believe the water concern relates to moisture being trapped under the guard during installation which over time will affect the magnetic quality. I applied the guards to a very clean and dry surface and drove the vehicle in heavy rain twice since with no apparent effect upon the guards.

The magnet will hold through the clear factory guards but as mentioned above they are not the same size so it did not look right to me. You will be better off removing the clear guards for a proper look.

Actually neither of these spots belong to me I just used them briefly to take photos of my car. My spot is located between two columns

Default Moisture...

We use magnetic material that is high energy. This prevents most rain water from collecting underneath. We recommend you wipe the edge after heavy exposure to rain. Also, a small amount of dust can accumulate over time.

I have tested these on my 911 turbo for a couple years and had no issues. Easy to remove and easy to put back on.

Hi dpixxi,

How close is your white to the 2013 "White"? I'd like to get a pair but didn't see white on your site but could be I missed it. Also, do/can you ship to Canada? USPS preferably as UPS charges $45 brokerage. Pay the duty/taxes either way on receipt.

Thanks

Hi John,

Our white is pretty close to the factory white. I'll double check and let you know.

We ship internationally. Regarding the duty on goods coming into Canada, I'm not sure of the fees.

You can e-mail me at: Dan@MagnaGrafik.com if you like to discuss further.

Thanks,
Dan

Default Speedster Stone Guard

This is the stone guard we patterned the "Speedster" style after. It has a bit more of an elegant shape compared to the clear oem 991 fins.

I would get these if they were the same size as the clear one that comes OEM. Don't feel like taking off the clear protector. Why aren't these cut to size? Why smaller than the factory stone guards?

We can make these the same size as the OEM clear guard if you like. Indicate OEM-991 in the item box on our order page at: https://www.magnagrafik.com/Order.aspx

Thanks,
Dan

Just placed order an order for the OEM size WHITE stone guard to match the car color. I shall take some pictures and post them once I have them installed.
